Auto attack grinding? illegal?

example, i go to where the mobs respawn. i put something heavy on the Z button on my keyboard so that it is kept pressed the whole time, so my character auto attacks forever, and then let my pet accompany me on the field. then i go to sleep.

does that count as using a third party program?

i know this and similar topics had been posted in the past, however, i would like to have an official answer from the staff. thank you.

You could get mistakenly banned just like some people before which will most likely inconvenience your playing experience because getting your ban lifted is very tedious imo

IMC has stated that this method is legal but this doesn’t guarantee you ban free as some people still see it as botting and will most likely report you as bot.

Your topic post ITS misleading.

What you are asking for is AFK autoattacking, or farming.

It might be frown upon, but so far I think its legal… sorta.

No, not illegal. Just leave a message such as !!Sleeping or !!AFK farming not a bot to avoid getting reported.

you should know there are still some A.Holes out there still report despite putting out the sign

I would consider it illegal actually. IMC never said it’s legal they only said to not use the Report Bot function on such players as those would be recognized as “Not bots” and reduce your RII.

Yeah but it’s better than none. But so far I haven’t seen anyone complaining about getting banned by doing this.

I could name a quite few games that implements the same system with ToS and also has a pet system. It all works that way, and that’s not illegal. Unless it’s evident that there’s more to it than just “AFK grinding”, such as the AFK Summoning Grinding in Dina Bee which is believed to have used 3PP’s such as auto pots.

I’m not talking about AFK farming with pets and summons, though. That was said to be legal. But keeping the attack (or potion) button pressed… I’m not so sure about.

Z-botting is a pretty gray area to me. I don’t really know which side to agree with. So do what you want, really. If something happens as a result, then you have your answer.

I will tell you that its completely Legal, there would be no difference in leaving a book on your letter Z and holding it down yourself while you watched a movie.

But I will also tell you this, I (and all the other people that would come across you) will report the ■■■■ out of you if you are making quests and mobs harder for us to finish, I ( and all of us) wont care if you’re not a bot, the point is you would be making it inconvenient for us and convenient for you.

but as long as you’re not stepping in somebody’s toes, youre good to go

It’s ilegal, IMC already said it, I dont remember where but yes, 100% ilegal, the only legal AFK grind is using companions, necromancer summons or sorcerer summons without auto-pot
