Aussies still with high ping problems in SEA server, read this

Ok if you’re from Australia and are still having high ping problems after they moved the server to Singapore, it is likely that your internet provider is NOT iinet (probably TPG, Optus, etc.). Your high ping is due to tunnelling problems as it’s trying to connect you through the wrong parts of the world.

Two ways to fix this:

  1. Change your internet provider to iinet.
  2. Download Pingzapper (google this - don’t think I can provide the link here)

Pingzapper allows you to connect through the right pathways to the SEA server. Before IMC moved the SEA server to Singapore, I was experiencing 400+ ping, which was barely manageable. After they moved it to SG I had constant 700+ ping, which was absolutely unplayable.
I then searched around the forums and found that other Aussies were using Pingzapper, then I googled it up to see what it is. It costs like 5 bucks a month but the difference is heaven - well worth the money spent. My ping dropped down to between 170-200 after using this. Some may argue this is still high, but for someone who suffered 400+ ping regularly, this is a godsend.
You can download it and try it for 30 minutes to see what difference it makes for you. When it asks you where tos.exe is located on your computer, it’s usually here (unless you installed it in another folder):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\TreeOfSavior\release\patch\tos.exe

So basically just use a GPN to redirect your connection.
Mudfish, WTFast, Pingzapper,… are the most common VPN these days.
I can see this case is pretty the same with PH players who are using PLDT ISP.

Bump in case any Aussies missed this last night
