Ausrine, the broken Buff [+poll]

You people are complaining about everything like ftw. Ausrine takes way more dedication[C3 Dievdirbys] than a Swordmans Pain Barrier or a Clerics Safety Zone, so it’s supposed to be that strong, even in PVP. Since there are many ways to counter it, e.g. multihit skills that are stationary like Dark Theurge, Flame Ground, Fireball or Multishot [which is a C2 Archer skill…] to destroy the statue.

If you want to remove the CC effect, why not remove all CC-immunity effects in PVP? No more Pain Barrier to allow people to knockdown Swordmen, no more skill evasion of Lancers Jousting etc.

It’s precisely this way because the current Rank 8s skills are this strong that Ausrine is actually not overpowered but ± neccessary to become able to win against certain class constellations on the enemy side. Look at Dethrone killing an entire party e.g., how’s that fair? You don’t even have the chance to do anything but get destroyed instantly.

Ausrine needs to stay the way it currently works unless there is a total overhaul of the new skill values for PVP.

let me sum up :
from the start of the game IMC really don’t know how to balance skill when they let pve skill ( use to kill/tanks boss with 390m HP ) in pvp playground ( mob with 50k hp almost )

get a 7k defend/4k mdef Murillo huehuehuehue…

Unless you have transcend 550 weapon or skills that have more than 7k power.

Did you ever see a pd trying to remove the buff from at least one person? They need to stand still and spray. Not much later they are already cc’ed and/or already dead. You are one Pd vs 5 people with invul who know what youre up to. Good luck on that.

Only ‘some’ skills come with that effect and any skills you can use to knockback/down are definitly not among these. The only reliable one is mforce and raise. And even then, if the oracle isnt so stupid to cuddle with his members, he will just stay back and counterspell the raise from behind. For everone else, they are just ■■■■■■ facing only one Diev3oracle in the opposite team then. Ausrine is really an offense for every cleric who didnt go diev3. Unless you are diev3oracle yourself, you can hardly do anything besides running away. The ausrined team having at least 1 cata3 makes even that a farce.

Like every time someone wants to rush and surprise, the next step on your usual all-invul cleric op build is Kabbalist with a fancy r7 buff killing the dragon at trying. Even using dethrone after them applying Ausrine will cause the Dragoon to die due to the pets with r7 accidently hit as well.

The only legit way to counter that is a Cata3 with rush-restrain with the weakest weapon possible equipped hoping to use up all prophecy hits to stall them just long enough for your team to make use of the situation.

Again thats a very certain case to be able to counter a situation occuring every time a diev3 hits the stage.

In fact, only one person in the opposite team forces your whole team to be a specialized, trained and skilled ensamble of pros with the fitting builds to even have a chance to win. Earth tower variant: Anti-Ausrine! Too bad you just got matched up with 2 archers and a rank 5 ele now!

I wouldnt start this matter if its not needed. Dedication you say? With a single skill alone, you make your whole team invul for 20 seconds. Even the most useless pve builds are suddenly op. It apllies a perfect protection without ANY downsides and a Pain Barrier on top. You can even use it several times in 2v2 battles. Its like a mobile Safety zone with Pain Barrier on top blocking everything for 20 seconds.

This is clearly and by far too much and mocking every single cleric build without Diev right away. And when you’re on it, would you explain me why a buff without downsides need that Pain Barrier on top? And why a Bokors Mackangdal with an obvious downside of getting all dmg in the end just wont get it?

Pain barrier is a swordies signature skill in pvp. You cant share it, its a buff for swordies alone. Yet Ausrine cheapingly applies it to everyone running around a circle. There is definitly something wrong here.

You are clearly fearing to be not able to counter everything of these without that op skill anymore. Be aware that im maining a cleric whos neither oracle nor diev3 and Im having fun UNLESS one of these show up on ANY of the teams. Having them on my side is like stealing candy from children, having them on the other side is just running in circles till it runs out. Ofc my precious team is mostly dead by then anyways unless I “save” them with mackangdal (which kills them then in the end, just bokor things).

Having just 20 sec of no dmg with a mobile safety zone you CANT get knocked out of is clearly enough.

Did you even read my proposal? Or is it the same fear of the “being-nerfed” as usual?

Dethrone is pathetically easy to dodge, like straight up walk away from. If you get hit with dethrone that is your problem.

As a cleric, I can dance with dragoon2’s all day without getting hit by it. This is a simple case of needing to git gud.

Ausrine is strong for 2 reasons:
1.) You can continue to get the buff, time and time again. If the match lasts long enough, you can get 2 statues per match. It should work like Revive already does. You should have to choose when you need it, not auto-pilot.

2.) TBL map is small, for a 5v5 this makes every match ‘in your face’ and thus makes Ausrine a needed buff.

The solutions are simple. Make Ausrine like Revive, then the two effectively cancel each other out. Also make 5v5 TBL larger.

So imc just made a solution create a cleric class to counter a cleric…then rename your game to tree of cleric already…

Wtf is the people defending ausrine, just look at the tbl rangking. A diev 3 oracle kabba inqui can carry almost alone the whole team. And what is that garbage about is a c3 skill so is suppose to be strong? Men, first lvl up a cleric is ultra easy, everyone wants you in party and second there are several other c3 remotely that op. Qs 3? Look how i defeat a whole team with my running shot, highlander 3 almost useless (maybe with the last ktos patch they become better). Dont be like that, u know the buff is broken.

This exactly. There is almost no way to counter that. Without Inqui you could just stay away from them till ausrine runs out. Now having Inquis great offensive abilities, the just covered their only weakness.

Even Ausrine working like revive would change nothing here. Thats why Im proposing to just get rid of Ausrines Pain Barrier effect. Even archers are able to cc them then, if they are smart, to just somehow survive the 20 seconds.

Its the easiest way to balance this skill out.

Best support-carry ever. HAHAHAHA. They’re even at a handicap lately since you can’t carve owls in TBL (seems to be bug), but that isn’t even a problem for them.

The thing with the cleric class is that powercreep is rarely there from r1 to r8. Almost all of your skills will always be significantly beneficial to you and your party members even at later ranks.

Going by the same logic, could you enlighten me why Safety Zone (min. c1 investment) outclasses Oracle3’s Foretell 10/10? Teach me senpai

I don’t even have a single Circle of Diev in my Bokor Oracle, so it doesn’t concern me in any way if it’s nerfed. However, I want to stress that having to put 3 Circles into Dievdirbys heavily impacts the rest of your gameplay.

It would be better to think of more ways to counter it, e.g. a non-preventable Death Sentence waiting for people who think they could just run around with Ausrine buff and slaughter things. Also, Gohei will come sooner or later to remove Aurine with a single hit of the stick, so who cares anyway?

The thing you complain about is that the first 20 seconds of a team battle are OP because the team is invulnerable, but what about Sterea Troph/Fortell/Safety Zone? That’s also 15-20 seconds invulnerability.
I’m not talking/arguing about Mackangdal because it’s a skill of a low-Circle DPS class, so it’s obvious that it’s not perfect[it’s a wonder that black magic can even protect you].

The knockback/knockdown protection is obviously needed, because the statue, as the single Dievdirbys C3 skill, would be utter trash in PVP otherwise. This would be the case since you could just CC the enemy with noob skills like Bash until the duration wears off and then slaughter them.
Also,there are so many low CD CC skills from trashy first or 2nd Circles that it’s hard to play a balanced PVP game if the Cleric side has no ability [if there is any other Cleric skill that prevents knockback/knockdown and is a party-wide buff, please enlighten me] to counter all those CC moves.

It’s unreasonable to trashcan the only Dievdirbys C3 skill just for a few players convenience. If you don’t like PVP or GVG, just stay away from it like me, but don’t come whining because a single skill can “ruin” your gaming experience since it’s either too easy or too hard…

It’s easy to tell you why Fortell is “worse” than Safety Zone:

  • Fortell has no hitlimit [meaning it can prevent more than 50 hits (lvl 15 SZ with max attribute) in its duration time, making it a great way to tank mobs in dungeons e.g.]

  • Oracles Fortell might be extendable by Clap in the future[ if this holds true, the skill could go to uptime of 24/7, since it has 42 secs CD and 15 secs lasting time; a lvl 6 Clap would increase the duration by 30 secs to 45 seconds]

  • Oracle has more than one C3 skill [Twist of Fate is fairly useful, since it can destroy enemies below 50% health]

  • Oracle C3 skills don’t have any attributes yet, so there might be some boni ninja-incoming like the Pain Barrier duration increase attribute for Swordies with the next larger updates [looking at Rank 9 update especially]

  • Oracle can be combined with Diev without any problems [C2Diev3Oracle 3 e.g.]
