No point nerfing skills here and there just for the sake of TBL. One of the reasons why so many skills seemed so overpowered (crowd control, immunity etc) is the due to the game objectives of TBL and size of the arena.

The smaller the size of the arena the more impact immunity and crowd control skills have.

If it takes a full 25 secs just to get from 1 end of the arena to the other end, ausrine will not be as OP as now. By the time the players reached the mid point where they clash, ausrine would have left like 3-4 secs of time which is not as impactful as what we face currently. With this ausrine becomes a skill that needs some thinking when to cast instead of mindlessly using it during match prep time.

The same can be said to all other skills, Catas will have to assess whether their own team has enough time to reach him/her before they die by rushing in a bigger arena. No longer will kino chronos teleport->haste->stop within the first 4-5 secs. Hard AOE CCs like raise becomes harder to use and target due to players spreading further apart due to the increased size of the arena.

Ask for something which doesn’t need a huge rebalancing of skills of many classes. Having a much bigger space to traverse is a good start to see how skills fair. Adding non-combat objective such as objective capture, enemy flag capture etc also help too.

bigger arena is not a bad idea at all, it’s a brilliant idea actually. a whole new perspective you guys need to look at. :frowning:

A watered down Ausrine version to TBL (be it charges based, or a "HP shield based on cleric’s spr, or to work only when the statue is on sight, etc…) is a viable solution for this specific game mode/arena. Increasing the arena size is a interesting option but Ausrine will be still broken because you can still play around it, protect it, setup it, use it later, refresh the invincibility and etc and there’s also other skills and classes that will be even more broken with a bigger arena. but it’s still something, we just can’t accept the current “meta”.

Oh and of course, there’s other skills worth a “fix” for this specific tbl setup, like prophecy (too strong for oracle c1, number of charges could be lower and increase at oracle c2/c3 as an attribute), r7x working on pets (hit a desynched pet, crit, 30k reflect XDDDDDDDDDDD). And reflecting too much damage without any need for a stats investment from the cleric (imo reflected damage should be based on the kabba’s atk/matk and with a longer casting motion), Inquisitor’s numbers (easy 25k+ shotgun damage malleus on swordsman/archers, SWORDSMAN OR ARCHER, nothing related with the skill theme, what the…), Raise, Magnetic Force true aoe not matching skill’s effect size, Rush (that will even be buffed in new future, lol) being Slash type making it super strong if try to counter dethrone (pierce) with cloth), Dethrone’s “root” also should be removed and that effect given to Gae bulg at dragoon c2, subzero shield uptime, trot uptime, Iron Hook could use a max duration cap in favor of a keel hauling buff, hunter’s infinite cc could also get a limit in favor of better pet AI / commands, autoblock, homing magic attacks, fletcher’s bleeding not being reduced to -50% damage as almost all the other sources of damage (it’s a tbl ‘rule’), scout c1 cloaking uptime, and etc, etc.

Game has a lot of class diversity and interesting mechanics, nerfing the most broken ones (nerf is not a total removal of a skill, sometimes just a small number tweaks does the job) will let other builds be a little bit more competitive. Remember when Priests could revive people indefinitely? Remember when gravity pole was a black hole? Remember 99% uptime infinite bloodletting? Remember subzero shield reflecting / reducing everything?

Those things were reworked for good and pve was not affected by those changes (except the subzero shield one, rip facetanking magic and freezing a whole room of mobs)

IMO Ausrine is also broken at PVE too but this is another whole topic…

Ausrine can be easily countered
just the enemy team just needs to wait a few seconds

Cleric is probably the most balanced class in the game. Perhaps the IMC begins to balance the others, taking this as a base.

Enemy team just has to wait? What game are you playing? The map is so tiny that you can’t outrun ausrine. The enemy team will come at you and theres literally nothing you can do.

Ausrine is literally the one skill that just makes this games pvp bad overall it’s not worth going into a match (if you manage to actually enter). Every single match will have one or more diev 3 just because it’s easy mode pvp and no one wants to be at the opposite end not being able to do anything.

Which is why the arena size is worth changing. Bigger arena size will make big changes to the TBL meta.

I’d love to see it in a bigger arena but if you think about it we’d also need more time for TBL matches. 1h is too few if every match takes 10min-20min or more :<

TBL should be 24h nuff said, but that was already spammed about soooo many times and IMC just doesn’t agree. Too bad…

Ausrine is going to lose a lot of momentum once we receive +80% magic and physical defense from job ranks. It will still be quite strong, but the value of 20 seconds will go down drastically when people are less prone to getting killed in that window.

I agree a bigger arena would be awesome for 5v5. It would fix a lot of the problems as most of the OP cc are OP because they have a huge radius. More space - more counterplay.

agreed, and priest3 will be more popular with max aspersion for 1 dmg.
