Hi guys, i’m trying to build a PvE Swordsman for Rank 8 and i’ve found so far these 2 builds
Sw1>Pelt1>Hop3>Dop1>Dragoon2 (right now i have a full str lvl 140 hop3)
and
Sw1>High1>Barb3>Dop3
(though of this http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/a0y10txtvm/ and thinking of full str or str/dex)
I wanted to know which one is better for PvE, i’m not interested on PvP of any kind, just bossing, grinding, questing, etc.

Dragoon 2 is the boss killer, doppel 3 is better for generic AoE PvE.
For PvE fun I suggest doppel 3 since world boss is hard to do with <5 FPS
The build should be sword -> high 3 -> barb -> dop 3. Stat should be high DEX with some CON to survive. With rank 7-8 damage, crit is better than flat damage from STR.
Go STR CON first Dex CoN is for pvp fam
May i know why high 3 instead of barb 1?
Barb 3 provides high burst, however, you won’t use barb skills once you reach doppel 2/3. High 3 give you utility (more damage on bleeding, skull swing etc).
Always choose early rank that provide utility and scaling over flat number

He talking about doppel sw high3 barb 1 doppel 3. Also get rid of dov out of the equation if you plan to go dex and con only because it is useless and buff literally no dmg for that build
high c3 > barb c3 ? i heard that barbarian warcry is getting a hella buff that can give up to 1k dmg on high lvl monsters
high3>barb1>doppel and dragoon are great for boss
if u alredy have a hop 140 just stick to it, but go all dex…
Skull swing will nullify any defense on high level monsters. Not only that help you, it helps your party as well
Warcry is only good for yourself, and its bonus is only comparable to skull swing when you hit the max number of monsters.
Which might be good when bossing.
Sorry, but why full dex with hopl3 ? Isnt finrstra good enough?
u want a lot of crit for ur dethrone skill
Warcry bonus is based on the number of mobs hit, and when bossing you only have 1 target, so skull swing is still better.
Even if you go full DEX your crit chance is still low because high level targets have more crit resistance
Not really. There are always traps and minions around.
You need 10 targets for warcry to be full effective.
