Are you guys burned out from playing ToS?

cool didnt know that kCBT alredy had it, nice =)
but everymonster can drop a gem? i played all month and didnt get any gem

Thats why they are rare and cost a lot?

If something rare were to drop like water then it wouldn’t cost a lot of money, right? Lol…

Not sure if every monster can drop a gem but atm gems dont cost much because its still in CBT.
I think one of the most expensive rare thing to get a low level is probably Battle Bracelets. Currently 4mil each.

The only thing that is holding me back is knowing that all progress will be wiped so i don’t feel like trading too much or grinding too much anymore, but i’m sure i’ll be 100% hype again for release.

I’m burned out.
Tried out a ton of classes and skill trees to best suit me.
Going to be wiped anyways so no motivation to really continue at a certain point.
Found bugs, reported them and definitely had a lot of fun in process and glad I could help better the game.
I will continue playing at a later date but definitely done for now.
Still love the game though (:.

Better than the typical games where you easily reach max level, then have nothing to do after that. also I hope this game would have a static level cap for at least a really long time, unlike other MMOs where each ā€œupdateā€ would only offer new level cap and new dungeons for that cap which will waste all the gears you spent on for the previous cap so you can change them to higher level gears for the new cap… -.-
I mean cmon, Ragnarok’s level cap was level 99 for like… 5 years.

I played Elsword and they keep adding level caps every 2-3 months which super frustrating.

Mostly testing things out, skills, mechanics, items, builds, interactions, market, leveling paths, theory crafting, bug test, etc… So I’m not burned out even a bit.

It takes years to reach cap in RO, but even with a certain level and gears before reborn, you can still have fun with most contents and item hunting/building regardless.

Hopefully ToS will be the same.

LOL WHAT!?
ā€œLinearā€ is something TOS is not. people who don’t get past lvl 80 only think its linear because it holds your hand until 80, after that theirs literally no info on what to do, just explore and find stuff.

i played for a month straight kinda but i want ti play still ubt that 60-80 gap is killer

Huh? the only real gap in the game is the one at 174+ it’s the one where the quest are 6 levels apart.

You’re kidding right?
ToS is wholly linear. You get info all the way to max. The only wall at level 80 is from the Royal Mausoleum’s higher level requirements on the deeper maps; that’s why the Constructor Chapel is so full of incompetent grinders.
Once you do reach 80, you’re meant to go down the Gytis Settlement route outside Klaipeda; those 5 maps have quests to get you to around 96, then you do the lower levels of the Royal Mausoleum, then Stele Road. It’s Linear, it’s just that the point where you leave Zachariel Crossroads for the Gytis route aren’t connected like the previous maps.

Just look at the world map on tosbase and follow the pre-determined road set out for any and every class and build.

It really depends on what you define linear as.

It’s not linear, but at the same time it’s very linear compared to some MMO (especially considering when most player is old RO player).

The game is still linear even without any info giving. It’s obvious there is only one road to follow, while sidetracking for some irrelevant map sometimes.

agreed, for an MMO, this doesn’t really feel linear for me and I can’t compare with a game that I’ve never played

Investors call the shots for everything in this world that involves money remember that. This ain’t a happy rainbow ponytail world.

I love how people accuse other people of wanting to keep players on the game to avoid being ā€œkings of a wastelandā€ while telling newcomers to not even give the game a try cause they’ve been disappointed. Who cares about if it’s not the new WoW, if it’s not an esport game as LoL, who the hell would come here and expect that anyway ? You didn’t like the game and you don’t think it will ever be good, yeah well sad for you, if you’re just gonna repeat that ā€œthis game is bad and I feel like no one’s listening to meā€, you can leave already.

On topic, I’m not burnt out but taking it slow as it’s gonna be wiped and there’s no reason to be max lvl and get best gear for now (no competition, no PvP) except for your very own pleasure
For me it was just a rough test of the classes, the gameplay etc. (and many things are too buggy so you can’t really test them for now xD)

yah the game kinda flat so far. also this

IMC cant manage this game well…i prefer let the game release later(3~6 month) so IMC can focus more on fixing bug, typos, stats balance and class balance from all CBT feedback.
zero motivation to play this game if IMC never put priority to fix bug that will bring harm when OBT come out.

also from all test, trying build, exploring i found that we still lack of information for some class due to many player only play OP class(highlander>barb c3 ect). i can reset skill point and stats but cant reset class circle which is sad.
because EXP rate isnt that high and im not a no lifer who can grinding all 4 main class to 200 and trying every class route (especially c6) so kinda lazy to test build.
i only want to know compatibility of x class with y class or x class with z class ect.i want to try alot of build from skill simulator and guessing(sometimes looking on forum about the info but find nothing) how good the class is but again its not that easy to reach c6 or 200 and no class circle reset.

and if there will be iCBT3 but alot of bug still cant be fixed i will just wait until OBT.wasting times for something meaningless is sooo sad.

I play here and there if my friends who just reached level 200 or 190 wants to bring me along their dungeon adventures but other than that I just log in every other day to see whether or not they managed to fix previous bugs or if I manage to find new ones.

Idk how people think this game is liner.
It’s only simi liner as far as story quests go, but in what game are story quests not liner?

And even still in tos you can break off and do your own thing.
There’s all kinds of hidden treasure and quests, to explore, even when you have 100% completion of a map there’s usually still like 1-3 quests to do that break off into their own thing or whole separate quest line.
And even still you can break off of those and do w/e else you want.
This game has a lot to do, and there will be much more later.
This game is really not even close to being liner
Unless your just spamming story quests

Well they DID scrap the game and start from scratch, because things fell apart in the alpha.

I stopped playing league so i could zombie away days here in TOS. Picked the class that requires the most effort to reach max lvl. I grind my ass off and got a great feeling of how my build is going to play out in OB. the last week ive been back to league.

I got 1 char to 200 and 4 others to 150ish. I’d say im good until final release . Was awesome to get a feel for the game.

I feel MOST classes are unbalanced and are rather OP or useless with little in between. I feel it should mimic RO more. Leveling a class to around 100 to unlock crafting type classes is super annoying. It should be its own class from the beginning.

Lack of a agi class (talking theif and daggers) seems off. It feels weird a 2hander dps or a sword and shield tank will become a shinobi or fencer or pirate.

I feel the AI is trash. Boss fights are better but still trash. I hated how you couldn’t see available quests on the map. Bad addition.

I’d have to say based on the current model I would most likely quit before hitting 400. Around rank 5 class levels started to take extremely to long. I’m down for a grind but I want more variety. So many times u have one or two options at best to grind. If I’m gonna hit a wall i would like to have options .

Depending on how good black desert does. It will be a tough choice. I’m mid age with a family and Job so more then likely final release won’t work for me seeing as it will take tons of hours to max out.

We’ll see it is a beta I had a great time. Hope to play again in the future
