Are there quest to job change like in Ragnarok?

Hi guys, are there quest to job change like in ragnarok or like I saw in a video you select your class at the beggining of the game. I really hope you start as a Newbie and advance like in the old ro :smile:

You dont start out as a Novice class like in RO. However, there are job advancement quests.

I donā€™t think itā€™s needed to start as a novice class.
But you have the classes: Swordsman, Wizard, Archer and Cleric to start out with.

As imperidal mentioned, you will receive class advancement quests and in my honest opinion (at least theoretically) , the system is super well done and allows for a lot of customization.

there is 4 starting Job (Swordsman, Wizard, Archer and Cleric ),
then u can change class/upgrade every 15 Job levels, here is the Job skills and flowā€¦

You start out as one of the 4 mentioned classes posted by people above me, however there are job quests for the next classes. I have only done the quest in the first ICBT to progress to Krivis and I personally found it really lack luster, but that is just my own opinion. I do really hope the following or more ā€œadvancedā€ classes in this game will have harder and more creative quests to them.

I have only played a Rogue and a Assassin in Ragnarok and I found both of their quests to be superb and very fun and creative, I had a blast doing both, I kinda link the Krivis job quest to the Thief one in Ragnarok, just a minor taste of what is too come on ahead although if I had to choose the Thief one was more fun.

So I hope they will really put their effort and creativity into those quests!

Iā€™ve done 4 class changes and itā€™s all extremely easy. Itā€™s nothing frustrating like the monk job change, or the alchemist job change etcā€¦ in fact Iā€™d say the class change quests in TOS are only slightly harder than the priest job change.

Basically you pretty much travel to 3 places, kill a couple of monsters, and you advance. Getting around in TOS is a lot easier too due to the warp statue and town teleport scrolls.

Yes but they are WAYYYYY easier.

I also share the same mindset as you do. I found the advancement quest in Ragnarok Online enjoyable and rewarding.

I have some questions that are sorta related to the thread.

  1. Is it possible to change the class you choose for a particular rank or are you stuck as it after choosing?

  2. Does anyone know how many ranks there are going to be? I see many people posting builds with 6 ranks shown, but recently i noticed tosbaseā€™s skill simulator showing 7 ranks. Also showing 8+ in the class lists of the site too.

  1. No, you are stuck with what you chose.

  2. There are at least 8 ranks confirmed so far. ā€œBuilds with 6 ranksā€ is because there are only 6 ranks available for testing in all the previous betas.

On topic:
Quests are pretty easy for job change in lower rank.

I wish class changes had more depth. In one of my old mmoā€™s secret of the solstice. You would have groups of people going to class change to say congrats to the person who classed up. I know thereā€™s way to many classes in ToS for that to happen yet. but maybe for the later ranks it might happenšŸ˜„

Yes, there are quests to change classes, but all of them have been easy so far. Even the Alchemist quest had you fight a pretty easy boss.

Probably the ā€œhardestā€ one Iā€™ve found so far was the Circle 2 Psychokino quest, which had you fight two bosses at once, with the second one appearing when the first is at low HP. It might be a little overwhelming for a bit, but itā€™s still not that hard in the end.

Iā€™d say the Peltasta C3 boss is the hardest. Itā€™s a Magic user boss and you canā€™t block magic. It was a PIA for me
