I was watching PvP videos from ToS and I noticed that the Swordsman classes always hanging behind because they cant attack their target, and if they can attack then they often get a debuff (freeze) from mage etc.
So my worry as someone that wants to play a Fencer in PvP is that i will be useless because i cant even damage my target.
If I remember correctly there were only 3 swordsman classes in the top 50 pvp on the last beta. All of which were Dragoons. Mages dominated pvp and will probably continue to do so.
If the player is useless, yes.
Cataphract, Fencer, Doppel, Corsair… are all good for pvp if you know what you are doing.
They work but you need significantly better timing and positioning to achieve results that a average mage can get.
And if the other team as a C3 priest you’ll probably have a bad time.
Swordsman seems lost on the pvp videos, but in the other hand, i’m afraid i might switch to wizard (currently op in pvp) and start suffering from it’s low survivability.
