I mean this as in when you choose the unique family surname on one server, is it then only usable by you on that server, only usable by you on any server, or only yours on that server and others can use it on another server?
Team name is cross server, they made an annoucement about it.

This is good news, because if someone wanted to transfer their characters between servers, it would create conflicts if 2 players had the same family name, which in turn would force the player who is transferring to change his family name.
Yeh that’s exactly what I was wondering about, good to know my family’s future heritage is safe
