Archer's overkill?

Hey guys, i’m at lvl 117, and trying to make a build to overkill the flying mobs in demons way, i’m with +5savage bow with 2 red gems +5, cuz i’m runing full spr, i’m woundering if there’s a way to get overkill there?

i’m hitting like 1,7k in oblique, with 50% atribute, if i get an iron bow +15 with 2 yellow crit dmg +5gems and kinda 1:1 spr dex, would i overkill there?

+15iron bow it will be same dmg with +5savage, but +20% M size mobs and +40% L / XL mobs + the crit dmg.

i’ve tested putting 1:1 str dex to see what happens, when i crit 3.8k, i get a 100~115 overkill, sometimes i crit less and don’t get any overkill, with the ironbow i’ll have more dmg and more crit dmg then 100str 100 dex with +5savage.

Someone can help me elaborate better? with 1:1 spr dex i can handle to spamm oblique 15 with fedimian sp pots and bonfire, and get the overkill.

what circles do you have? just archer?

from what i can tell you probably cant ever overkill unless you have certain skills ex) ranger c3 has a skill that hits 6x that skill can definitely overkill. other then that i feel like its almost impossible to overkill unless you have good skills or spend all your money on attributes.

Hey,

Back when I was grinding at demons way, I overkilled the mobs everytime I critted with +5 kaman that had 1 lvl 4 yellow gem on it. My dex/str was at 5/2 ratio. Maxed (C3) oblique shot with 65% attribute. Just level up your oblique shot more and that should do the trick.

Multihit skills CAN overkill. Atleast fletchers barbed arrow can.

@Mach5/@nizidr archer c3 rogue c1 atm, i know multihit skills can’t overkill, like multishot, but spiral arrow counts like 1 hit, not seven of que skill, its seven i guess right, but what i’m trying to do, is hit hard with oblique, that’s one hit skill, to get over kill, i get it sometimes, but with full spr build and savage +5, i hit 1.7k +/- , and the mob has 1.8, then when i crit i get a overkill, but i want to overkill most of the times, that’s why i’m trying to get a good improve on oblique to overkill there.
@kodexiko yeah, i was trying to do str/dex build, but i don’t think is worthy cuz of the spam/mobs there, if i 1shot the mobs with oblique but don’t get overkill, but nonstop spamming its worthier than str/dex build overkill, cuz you’ll kill a lot less mobs, cuz of the mana issue you’ll have spamming there, i’m trying to get a overkill build with oblique with at least 100 spr to keep the spam/grinding u see?
@Nanai_Highcastle yeah i know, but isn’t spammeable, i’m not ranger with this archer, and the cd of spiral is too high to count on to level just with it.

So guys, i’m almost getting there, but idk if i’ll waste my money to get dat iron bow +15 with yellow gems or if its worthy, cuz its so good to grind overkilling every time i crit.

if i get enough dmg to overkill when i crit with 1:1 spr dex, that’s awesome, better than str dex spam, and better than full spr one shot not overkilling.

Btw kodex, i’ll try get + atribute on oblique, but i guess i won’t overkill just with 15% more, i’ll one shot for sure, but when i one shot with 3k dmg, i don’t get overkill, i’ll need to crit, and with full spr i wont crit enough, even with 25% + crit chance@sweet step or smtg haha

Get the bow to +10 to decrease size penalties to minimum. Or you are a rogue: get decent +10 xbow and dagger(Arde) and obliterate enemies.

yea, but i thinkg iron +15 is better than savage +10 isnt it? cuz of the 75 crit attack of iron? i’ll relly on crit dmg to overkill.

i have pretty decent xbow +5 and arde atm and i’ll not overkill mobs this way.

the best chance to overkill atm that i saw is against flying mobs, since we do 100% more dmg on them with 2h bow.

you need to do at least TWICE the mob’s hp to get the overkill proc

mobs in Demon’s way have 1600 to 1700 hp, so, you need to do 3401 or more damage in 1 hit .

What u need is a balanced build with 40% STR, 40% DEX, 20% SPR so that you can get overkill on your crits and still have enough SPR to grind for a good while before resting .

once you reach +10 you don’t get any more damage per upgrade, you only work up to +10 to remove the penalty.

spiral arrows cd is way too high to be used to overkill. so far you might be able to do that with a crit barrage lvl 15 from close range and with an iron bow 10+ and gladiator bands and then you get maybe 6 enemies or so every 15 seconds.

that is because the multiple hits shown are counted as 1 hit, spiral arrow doesn’t benefit from steady aim/ blessing on every damage tick after the first and i bet barbed arrow works the same.
