Archer: Why not balance STR & DEX 1:1?

I’ve seeing alot of forums about STR>DEX or DEX>STR and even SPR archer who spam insane skill shot because of large pool of SP and the crazy regens.

Do any of you guys played a balanced version of Archer? I’ve been leveling my archer with STR=DEX same amount and dishing out pretty moderate dmg I could say? I did not face any much trouble and able to solo bosses until now (Not sure about future)

Anyway, this is just a low level Archer result, would like to here more from Archer with balanced stat doing in 100+ lvls.

yeah well you don’t get any real benefit, your crit is too low to consistently crit, while your skill- and critdamage only gives a miniscule bonus that doesn’t even scale your skills in the most cases. there is a whole threat about str vs dex on reddit.

the formula isn’t perfect yet, but even on autoshots pure dex surpasses str in the lategame,

compared to spr/dex my str/dex build felt extremely crippled, with slightly higher damage on autoattacks ( which you don’t want to use anyway) while being extremely potion intensive. worst experience in the game so far for me.

It all depends what archer ranks you are going to follow…

If you get more DEX it will only mean that you will have more chance to hit the target and do some crit dmg, which sometimes is better than have a big normal dmg…

This is an old topic to talk about.
From some research, best ratio for damage is 5/8 STR and 3/8 DEX.
