[Archer] Tips and Information

Just posting some things I’ve discovered as an archer

Crossbows are strike I believe. They seem to do more damage against armored/fat enemies.
Kneeling Shot scales with Dex 1:1 Attack, making it somewhat more viable late game
Steady Aim only adds flat amount of damage on top of your total damage, it is not an increase to your physical damage and it does not scale with anything, making it a terrible skill
Fix Target is mandatory on Archers as it cancels the attack animation when moving/attacking, allowing you to attack and move faster
Weapon Swapping is essential. It allows you to switch between damage types on the fly, which is extremely important
Max out Bow Mastery ASAP as it provides more damage against flying/floating mobs, making it much easier to farm areas with high number of those. (Nefritas Cliffs for example)
High Anchoring has bit wider width when facing vertical
Barrage acts as a shotgun, it can hit an enemy multiple times if you’re close enough

Attack skills from what I’ve tested do not scale with anything. Possible it may scale with character level but I’ve never paid attention. (Currently level 40 so can’t readily test it right now)

Post other information you have learned!

Jumping lets you get out of kneeling shot without the “getting up” animation.

Seekers are probably the godliest bow you can get at level 15, thanks to +14 crit chance. (Don’t forget to anvil it if you have the cash)

Pre 30, if you’re soloing a boss, consider whether to go Kneeling Shot instead of purely strafing. Kneeling shot takes about a second to get into, but can do a fair bit more damage than usual. Learn how to read the boss’s tells to buy you a few extra seconds to set up.

For rangers, critical shot grants you +50% chance to crit; if you are intent on spamming this against bosses, this could let you pump Strength more than usual, giving you that sweet base damage and crit damage.

Also, so far i got swift step to lv 10, but the difference of speed and movement is not that much sadly.

Steady Aim gives 5+2 (Skill Level Bonus Attack)* in 5 Level gives 15 bonus damage but reduce attack speed, if use together Kneeling Shot it’s a good idea to remove the attack speed reduction.

The attribute for Steady Aim gives +2 Attack bonus for each attribute level, giving 20 in level 10 attribute.

I don’ t know attribute level limit, in my ranger I have a 15 attribute level for one skill and can enhanced to level 16.

My tip is for all class:
Always if possible use 3 or 4 equiments of same tipe. You get a bonus for this
The bonus can be enhanced in the Basic Class NPC (Archer,Cleric, Wizz and Swordsman)
Cloths→ Bonus for Magical Defense and SP.
Plate→Bonus to HP and Physcal Defense.
Leather→Bonus to evade.

Evasion mastery is actually really good.

I went with kneeling shot and 50 dex as the first thing I did. I also got all my points into evasion to boost it to lv 14. Once I was lv 60 I had 300 evasion , 80 crit and enough damage with kneeling shot.

Basically Nothing could hit me ( not even bosses) and I could just kneeling shot everything to death without worrying to dodge at all.
