Appeal for IMC to reset and lock zoom distance when in TBL/GBL ☢

IMC should just hardlock the cameras zoom in the arena/guild wars maps to the default value. Problem solved.

There are so many ignorant statements here. I’ll remove it from addon manager because I’m tired of having people whine to me about it (but they whine about every addon so meh)

I hope you’ll change your mind. Zoom mods allow for beautiful screenshots.

Not just screenshots but also for general gameplay experience.
Anyone who has extensively used zoomout quickly realizes how irrationally zoomed in the game is by default.

The game has in one of its files the feature able to modify it, that doesn’t make the game itself giving the player that feature. Based on that logic a hack could be “part of the game”, even when it is a config file if it’s modified outside of the ingame options it’s a modification of the game and it’s not meant to be that way and isn’t for everyone.

Zoomy increase field of view. Zoomy is totally a cheat in pvp.

Start banning half people doing BG.

I’m against banning zoom addons. There is more than one, and as Excrulon stated before - you can do it yourself. As far as I understood, the one that I’m using currently doesn’t even increase draw distance, so it’s practically like having a different aspect ratio.

Also, I DONT EVEN USE IT IN PVP (see vids here). Because on practice it makes targeting things too hard to bother.

The only use I can think of is againt parties moving from down-screen. BUT let me remind you that in ToS PvP any party attacking from the bottom part of the map has sight advantage - have you considered that little fact before whining? What next, ban IMC for giving that party sight advantage? LMAO!

In short: this game needs zoom and it also needs RCX to boot. Close-minded people who just want to restrict everything useful and practical should go.

BUT if a community is willing, restraining maximum zoom distance in PvP modes might be a solution. Just please not vanilla camera. Make it like 15-20% farther as maximum. My current addon doesn’t allow for that and I’m too lazy to do it myself, but I think that would’ve been much more comfortable.

You don’t want it to be banned because you use it on pvp and gives the advantage you need, that’s obvious. Everyone can make hacks if they learn basic programing and whatever… that explain? nothing, it’s a CHEAT, every game have config files with properties not implemented in game, that being in the game config files doesn’t make it’s meant to be edited and used.

You seem not used to 2016’s internet. People whine about everything.

PVP ruin games more than making them fun, everyone goes mad when it comes to pvp, this hypocrites who want to use this cheat and be legal are the same who ask for nerfs when their class is worst in pvp than the others.
