Anyone that tried Thaumaturge and/or Linker

I am super interested by going for like a “full support” kind of Wizard route with like Wizard/Cryo/Linker/Thaumat/Crhono.

The issue is that, Linker C2 is ton of utility and seems really awesome especially with Joint Penalty level 10 and Spiritual Chain. But Thaumat also gives really nice buffs in every aspect of the game (PVE, Grind solo, Team grind, PVP). So I wanted to know if anyone could give me feedback about the Thaumaturge class and/or the Linker class.

Haven’t went them, but thinking similar idea.
Wizard> Wizard 2 or Cryomancer> Linker> Linker 2 for team buff share> Chronomancer> Chronomancer 2 or Alchemist.
Thaumaturge looks like single buff type, and you’d need another linker at circle 2 to share to more than 1-2 people.

From what I read so far, Thaumaturge is lacking, Linker is good.

I’d say, unless we see some major revamp on Thaumaturge, you are better off going Linker c2.

I got to Linker on the iCBT, and tried Joint Penalty and Hangman’s Knot.
JP was awesome though some skill broke the link before the timer did (like Earthquake). The skill breaks the link BEFORE the damage can spread which made the use of JP very skill specific for my Wiz>Pyro.
Also, some field items/skill gets linked together, like Fireball and Stamina Crystals. (Don’t know if it’s intentional or not) Fireball getting linked with monsters is just hilarious when you use HK :joy: (Group hug with the fireball)

Like I said in another post, I don’t know if HK was supposed to work that way, but it doesn’t damage the monsters when they group, it just [Bind] then for 1sec per skill lvl. Though binding them for up to a potential(I assume) 15sec at lv15 sound awfully OP, the only damage coming from HK is from it’s attributes (and the description is shady for now)

Thanks for the answer, HK was not meant to be dealing any damages. In fact Link is not meant to be dealing any damages directly from his skills which I find super cool.

From what I’ve read and I’m kinda sad about it, one should either make a linker 2 Chrono 2 or a Thaumaturge 3 (with or without linker beforehand) in order to have the best utility to his team which is kinda sad, I really hoped that going Linker -> Thaumat -> Chrono would add like a really nice boost to your party of 2 to 5 men but I really feel like Thaumaturge without a linker 2 in the party is quite mediocre and his only use is to Swell body blue mobs and (if you went Thaumat C3) Swell brain that is on all of your team. And I feel very very sad about it because I really love the “full support” style of play of this class and was hoping that you either had to choose between being able to get new buffs by going Linker 2 or 3 or thaumat 2 or 3 or Chrono 2 or just take in rank in every one of these classes and still be able to give really nice buffs to your party. I really hoper they’ll change how the “full support” wizard build work, even if it is an MMO and that it would be logical to have like a linker 2 and a chrono 2 and a Thaumat 3 in your party for the maximum buffs. The fact that you need two people to have all of these is meh imho.

I made an error, it looks like Linker can only share buffs with one person they are linked to according to description and video. I wonder if it can increase the number of people it can buff tho, not entirely sure.
Linker has huge defense buff for party, and increase damage for mobs.
Thaumaturge has defense for 1 attack for 1 and int for all. The good thing I saw is that they can increase damage dealt to one enemy by a lot. so I’m guessing Thaumaturge specializes for a team with 1 dps 1 tank 2 mages 1 healer and boss fighting doubling its exp before it dies.
