Tree of Savior Forum

Anyone need help?

In-game or out, I’m nearing the end of my grind (260 Cannoneer and 228 Templar) and I’m looking to give back to the community as well as maybe make some friends. So if it’s as little as some advice or as big as power leveling you (well, within legal extents, helping with a few zones, etc.) just let me know.

Thanks Xanthiris! What a guy.

So besides making it to lvl 175, are there any other dry spots where it is best to save exp cards?

#2
How is it leveling in the 200’s? How much slower? Does grinding in fields still barely give you any exp?

I’m about to start my grind at Alemath. I was wondering if the grind requires specific classes to work.

Someone nice indeed.

…But not a lot of people wants his kindness and his help. Haha… That’s kind of sad.

In any case, I hope that more people like him will appear.

Help me by answering the following questions:

Do you like cannoneer?
What is the best skill to get/max first?

:slight_smile:

Is ur team name also same as ur forum name? I’ve seen that name a few times before in-game!

@CardParty

  1. Truthfully I didn’t save any cards on either of my characters, I used them as soon as I got them, which goes against what most people suggest but it worked well for me. I was even able to level my Templar from 1 to 228 in about 45-50 hours played.
    That being said, there are a few grind spots that cut it close in min/max level efficiency. You could use your cards for that. ie. Alemeth (211-231) to Evacuaction (230-250), very close line there, so you could consider carding from 228 to 235, give or take, which may make finding Evac parties easier.
    But yeah, in short, no, there’s nothing nearly as “dry” as the 175-185 area.

  2. It slows down and speeds up based on what you’re doing and how good the group you’re in is. For example, Evacuation grind is actually probably the worst grind in the 200s, because it’s pretty good experience and all but compared to Alemeth which comes before and Storage which comes after, it’s pretty awful. You should be able to get about 7M exp per hour at Alemeth and about 10-11M exp per hour at Storage, however, Evac only gives about 4-5M exp per hour.
    So, again, short answer, it doesn’t actually slow down that bad, the exp per hour seems to scale to the exp requirement fairly well. I gain a level every 1-2 hours depending on my group.

@chajr2468

Alemeth does not require any specific classes whatsoever, it can be done with any 5 dps classes. That being said, clerics, linkers, and tanks are always nice to have in a party at any level. The standard Alemeth group consists of 1 healer and 4 dps, and the healer isn’t really necessary, but most groups bring them just to save potions and be safe.

@Anarth

  1. Cannoneer is extremely fun but it’s almost entirely cooldown based and can’t be relied on as a primary source of damage, which is why I paired it with Fletcher C2. It’s a fun and amusing spec that specializes in burst AoE dps right? Truthfully it seems like a pretty poor PvE sustained dps class, but the 40k cannon blast crits are super fun.

  2. I would level each skill to level 1 first in Cannon, then proceed to max Cannon Shot and then Cannon Blast. I’d finish with 4 points in Siege Burst instead of Shoot Down. Most people recommend Shoot Down over Siege Burst but most people are silly, Shoot Down is terrible dps.

Oh and @Machi, yeah my team name is also Xanthiris. :stuck_out_tongue:

<3 whata beast
now i just need you to introduce me to some cute nerd girls who can drop sick knowledge like yourself

WHAT?! I thought this was tree of no savior?! WutFace

Anyway jokes aside. Wow it’s pretty cool that there are some nice people in the forum. alot people just flame each other here in forum. rofl. People should just be like this and so we can enjoy the game more. I mean, I try to be friendly, but most player i meet refuse to communicate. SMH

45-50 hours? To me that’s pretty ridiculous. How did you manage that?

I’ve logged 190 hours, probably 80% on a single character, and that’s got me to level 189 (and several alts all below lv 60). Did you forgo completions? I have noticed that I tend to have a higher adventuring rank than most of my level. Alternatively, did you do it with a group? Can’t say I have that luxury given that I have a day job; schedules just never match up and I’ve outstripped all my RL friends who are interested in the game.

Should I continue leveling on quests? Or are there grind spots that I should pursue now? I’m running a Dex-heavy Fencer so magic mobs are really wrecking my face right now.

@xuancheng

On my Cannoneer I’ve done most completions and intend to come back for the others, as I actually care about my nerd points on him :stuck_out_tongue:, and yes, it took longer doing it that way on him, I’ve put about 200 hours or so on my Cannoneer to get to 260.

However, on the Templar, my goal was just to hit Templar as fast as possible, so I skipped the first ~150 journal hunts.

I leveled him from 1-40 through quests on Klaipeda side and then immediately switched to Orsha side and did the 1-40 quests there, getting me to about level 60.
Then I just continued questing both sides and 100%ing every map and using all my cards as soon as I got them.
I was always questing about 10 levels higher than the zone recommendation, only ever holding cards if I was more than 10 levels above the zone.
I got to level 120 in about 15 hours which is when the zones finally started to catch up to me in level and it started slowing down.
Worth noting, I did do the level 50 dungeons 3 times and the level 90 dungeon 3 times, when it was level appropriate, but those are the only 6 dungeons I did from 1-228.
At 120 I did the mage tower and the zones around fedimian, standard questing, still using cards immediately upon obtaining them.
Upon reaching 145 I spent about 5 levels (~5 hours) in Demon Prison to give myself a small cushion, after which I went back to questing any zone within 10 levels of me.
The questing became somewhat difficult at this point since eventually I was level 170 questing in 180 zones, however this is also when I began doing 100% journal hunts for the extra cards and kill experience. It was rough getting to 186 with only spending 5 hours at demon prison and 0 hours at Dina Bee Farm, but once you hit 186 and meet the experience break, you fly to 200 in about 3-5 hours and you’re back on track questing in level-appropriate zones. At which point I was able to quest and journal hunt straight to 211 and then spend 211 to 228 at Alemeth, approximately 10 hours of grinding.

So… That’s how I did it, anyway. 50 hours is an estimate but that sounds right to me and it only took me 4 real life days so I’m fairly certain it was 50 hours +/- 5 hours.

Hope that makes sense, and do keep in mind that:

A) I had a token active
B) I did not use any tomes until Alemeth, at which point I used about 8
C) My team level was about 9 I believe, so I was gaining ~8% bonus exp from that
D) I was a swordsman which have naturally high health allowing me to dump every stat point into strength which certainly sped things up a little
E) For ranks 4/5/6 I went Cataphract, which might not seem like much and isn’t REALLY but the movespeed likely saved me 2-5 hours just for being able to speed-quest (translate to 5-10% exp bonus)

Again, hope this clears things up or helps in one way or another :stuck_out_tongue:

EDIT: Also, nope, little to no group play, only if someone was conveniently questing in the same area I would toss them a group invite, and most declined anyway.

EDIT2/Disclaimer: I by no means am suggesting this is the “Correct” or most efficient way to level, nor is this a guide, and yes I know carding immediately goes against what most people suggest, however it worked really well for me.

Hi! im following Rugal Dragoon guide, and im have trouble to level up since i cant find anyone to party for demon prison grind and well im saving cards (107 lvl 7 xp cards) for lvl 160 as many people say you should save them.

basically i kinda have trouble to find party to do simple things like daily quests or dungeon, and i still have a long path to lvl 160 (currently lvl 152 almost 153)

what would you suggest me? there another grind spot besides dina bee farm and demon prison?

Right now im doing monster hunting to get back some of the xp cards i didnt got when i was doing the quests. but im almost done with them (i only need to do the monster hunting in the path of the 5 sins around femidian, and some of the places where i did quests for lvl 150+ except demon prison)

There’s a stupid quest in Narash Forest that I can’t complete, if you are in Klaipeda, I need to protect a girl but those pesky archer nearly 1 shot my Cataphract with 22k Hp >.> aside from that I 1 hit everything lol… but yeah If you would like to just help me with that, It would be awesome!

@dark_lord_miguel

I’d need to know exactly what zones you have completed the quests in and which you haven’t to determine the best way for you to continue forward. Unfortunately Demon Prison and Dina Bee Farm are the only overly viable places for you to quest at the moment but honestly if you do the journal hunts while questing I’m fairly positive you’ll be safe carding now and continuing questing.

@AprilFungus

Yeah dude, Blue Spion Archers are silly. Waaaaaay too overtuned. But you said you’re on Klaipeda server? Or did I misunderstand that? I’m on Orsha server so I’m not sure I can help you, but if you are on Orsha, just message me on Xanthiris and I’ll come give you a hand.

yeah sadly I am on Klaipeda! :slight_smile: Thanks for the thought though haha, Those archer are indeed very silly!

well its a long list of places where i have done quests, but i did all the quest in both region: klapedia and orsha. i mean every place that gives quests from level 1-149.

however i found i missed the quest in altar way, about monster killing and map exploring, i did them, except the area where pilgrim path start, i still doing those areas, and i still going to do the hunting in Crystal mines lot. after that im going to do the monster killing where green manor quest chain start because i only did the quests there.

basically the only place i need to do quests (except altar way) its demon prison (im on F2 currently) and dina bee farm (which i havent started) but the area of those maps are like for lvl 157-160, i wanted to use my xp card lvl 7 but people says dont use them until lvl 160, which i find hard to do because i cant find groups to do grinding until lvl 160 (everyone wants an specific build for their party).

so dunno what to do besides the killing and exploring

@dark_lord_miguel

Man just use your cards, if you stopped questing at the 149 zones, that means you’ve still got about 20 zones you can quest between 150-180, and each zone reliably gives about 2 levels. Your objective is to hit 186 for the experience break and then it gets easy again. You can keep grinding if you want to, it does help give you a cushion, but if you’re just looking to level as fast as possible, you should use your cards and go back to questing.

Hmm, I guess I was spending too much time being a completionist. According to Steam I’ve logged 203 hours already and I believe 160+ are on my main (lv 203). I’m rank 1909 on Orsha.

If you’re somehow also higher ranked, then I really need to reevaluate my strategy…
