Swordsman c2 -> Hoplite c1 -> Cataphract c1 -> Hoplite c2 & c3.

Can have the option of mounting but for combat, you can get off the mount to use Long Stride.
Although you are sacrificing so much on defence without a shield, this Hoplite will out-damage any other standard 1H spear Hoplites out there, due to the sheer attack difference between a 2H spear and a 1H spear.
Anyone thinking of doing this?
Yes is a good idea, of course are shield with 3 sockets with 10lvl Gems may be beter that 2H spear, but Cataphract is fastâŚ

Strangely enough, I have never ever seen a Cataphract even use a normal attack without being on a mount. I fear the world will explode if I even attempt to.
Anyway, I know youâre a big fan of Restrain but I really prefer Swashbucklingâs 25% Max HP boost⌠Even if it means I gotta do some messy offhand Shield/Dagger swapping stuff. Want it cause Iâm taking Doppel too.
Well, itâs just a test to decide if itâll make it into my final build⌠I honestly hoped that the 2H Spear attribute was something more convincing to me than 40% Block Penetration⌠I guess I donât really know too much about that stat anyway in the PvE context D: Speaking of which, since Flash just released the enchantment values and showed that it doesnât scale for stronger base value weapons (so they become relatively weaker when both +15), I kinda feel like 1H weapons + Daggers are the future, so Iâm not unsure againâŚ
Come to think about it, thereâs only two 2H melee weapons anyway⌠One gets 50% Crit Damage, and the other is⌠40% Block Penetration orz
Next question. Can you cast hoplite skills like Stabbing or Pierce while equip Two-handed Spear? This skills havent line Required stanŃe in ToSBase.

2H hoplite could have low HP and DEF but it would look cool totally =]]]]]]]]]
What about stats ? i think we can easily have a huge critical strike chance rate with finestra + some dex. but this build need CON for survive a little i think.

2H sword are available only for Highlander, Barbarian, Doppelsoeldner(+2H spear)

Stats is problem for me too, 1H+Shield need STR:CON:DEX, I will try 5:1:2. (Sword-Pelta-Hoplite_C3-Doppel)
DEX for evad and crit rate, CON block and HP, STR - dmg, crit dmg.

Finally 2H do more dmg, but cannot block attack (no shield, and 2h spear cant block), and with Gung Ho and Finestra we lose defence and evasion ratingâŚ
So if we canât block CON is just for HP⌠putting point in CON just for HP seem like a waste⌠go full STR/DEX ? i think this build can do really awesome damage but at the price of dying a lot of time ?
I ainât a big fan of Restrain, just that with this build, if you want to use a 2H spear then Peltasta c1 is meaningless since itâs not going to be a CON build and Swash Buckling max HP attribute wonât benefit that much and youâre not using a shield. Highlander c1 is meaningless too. Hence my choice for Swordsman c2 at rank 2.
Youâll at least be able to dish out more damage with Stabbing and auto attacks.
