i mean xingcode is a joke but itos has nothing? even program like cheat engine could be bad for tos :S

Personally I think it’s a good thing if that is the case. Don’t get me wrong, reducing the amount of botting/cheating is very important. But so called game guards are absolutely terrible. They provide near zero protection except against the most basic of programs, and they frequently cause problems for legit users.
Not to mention that game guards function by searching your computers memory / active programs and can secretly report whatever it wants without the users discretion.

Yeah, I hate game guards and stuff. I was pretty angry when ARK added one, when all they really needed was to have some minor presence in their public servers to prevent what people were so angry about.

I thought it would be under steam/steam security? It would be quite bothersome for offenders to deal with repeated bot accounts being banned/remade due to steam.
Yes, it bans the cheaters in large waves. Usually 2~3 weeks after detection, It’s proven quite effective because the user doesn’t know if they’ve been flagged and game would have to be bought again in order to play on vac secured servers. It’s effectiveness on free to play titles is quite questionable.
