Anyone came up with a good outlaw build yet?

outlaw seems cool but i really thinks the skill set it has is weird, lacking damage and aoes cuz most of it skills have long cool downs. evsion is far not enough for to be a tank/dps, and plus the tuant has a too little of a range compare other class have tuant, you can barely provke like 6 mobs…

i tried linker outlaw combo, but linker only links the mob infront of u with a super short range too, so anyome have a good solo farming build idea for outlaw?

Im using SR/Outlaw/Enchanter ez farm baubas cave.

Not saying its the best but its good

Anything with Thauma and Linker is good to farm high level HG (even Squire will do the job) so I think outlaw in this build will do pretty good.

Outlaw Thauma Linker absolutely works, but I don’t think outlaw is one of the stronger thaumalinker choices. It’s just the synergy from thaumalinker is so damn good it can make any third choice good even if it shouldn’t be honestly (like squire, or enchanter even).

Outlaw will probably start to shine in some Evasion tank scenarios in PvP or if we start to see some new monsters that have good accuracy and high damage while having high evasion themselves (most likely being ranged). I’d give it some time before you really start seeing these well done.

thats what i thought too, the class it self isnt good enough to stand out side the thaumalinker class set, assassin in other hand is much better even with the thuamalinker set.

my point is this class it self is under avarage, you can only play it with thaumalinker, but you can basicly play anything with a thaumalinker…rogues crosiars shinobos or anything.

i have a rogue crosiar assassin, but i dont think i can have the same experience with rogue crosiar outlaw.

hm maybe if aggress would work or something.

Shouldn’t it work like the swordsman taunt? Currently it only seems to work on 5 targets no matter the skill level, making it kinda bad.

Yes, i think its either bugged or just range too small. i think inquistor’s tunat is the same problem.

I have 2 atm.
Rogue, Sin, Outlaw. I have Lachrymator for Rampage, which boosts my annihilation. I also run Rajapearl cards for more bleed procs in aoe situations.
and Outlaw, SR, Thaum.

hum rogue sin outlaw…isnt CD are too long for keeping up kiling mobs?

I think it’s really hard to build for it absolutely, if I break down what they’re useful for and synergy let’s see…

  • Throw Sand - blind is useful both for attacking and evading, decent damage, have to be quite closer so I’d say it benefits dagger builds more than pistol builds (or close range builds). Any build with several immunity frameskills though… might not want to bother
  • Brick smash - 30% chance is hard to consider worth it
    • 2x crit chance after Hangman’s doesnj’t seem worth, just almost guarantees crit. Would be nice if it affected skills used after, or was double crit damage or something.
    • 100% stun from the back is great if you have a way to always pull it off, otherwise meh.
  • Mangle
    • 100% evade twice every 15s is amazing, but with BM and no-autoswap you lose out on part of that. Could be insane just with blindfire and some autoswapping if you don’t go BM.
  • Blindfire
    • 100% evade twice every 15s is amazing, can be worth it for a BM in conjunction with Bloody Overdrive’s similar attribute, but is it worth it over other things? Doubtful.
  • Bully
    • Nothing feels better than bullying someone. I stand by this. The evasion alone is great, the threat value can be good or not hard to say. combined with Endless Torment I see no reason this shouldn’t always be up with minimal re-use. Would have to invest well into evasion.
  • Aggress
    • Seems there are very few taunting skills especially that double speed on them which just helps immensely. Considering cooldowns though depending on your classes/party composition it might not make a difference as you’d be waiting around a bit anyway :’)
  • Rampage
    • The damage seems like it should be good on some kind of burst, but has a lot of read to it. Not sure what this will synergize with too well.

I can absolutely see going a heavy-evasion build needing outlaw especially as an evasion tank, if there was anything that triggered on evade outside of bully extending duration that would be awesome. Max evade also kinda makes this an issue. Unlike games such as Path of Exile where you can mix Evasion and Dodge to effectively get near 100%. That doesn’t seem possible here, which is where the ‘evasion tank’ runs into issues.

If you’re looking to max that out, Scout gives you +20% (32? with attrib), Outlaw +50% so already at 1.7~1.8x. If you went Assasssin as well you could get 2x Evasion. Maybe linker as last option if it’s for PvE.

that is what im saying, outlaw skill set is just kinda weird mixing everything up and lacks short cold down dps skills.

plus i dont think evasion “tank” is useful considering most tos game play doesnt need a tank, if tank is needed such as earth tower or something, warrior is a much better option. hight lvl of mobs have high accuracy, you stil die, better just kill everything before it does too much dmg.

Its actually useful when it comes to soloing content, you don’t die instantly. Imagine evading in baubas can save you so much pots.

However, remember that we have a similar evasion mechanism back then in RO, more than 5 mobs hitting you, you start losing eva per extra mob until 50% min.

true, i use to ran a linker thauma outlaw, so many times linked mobs all attacked me and i lose half of my hp in one sec. it require much more for evasion to be useful comparing to just build for damage and kill as fast as you can.

i even tried max evasion skill from rogue, it still not nearly usefull…i remeber i have 4000+ evasion when that skill is active.

So my main BM (I’ve got 2) I actually changed to BM Enchanter Outlaw and I have to say I like it, a lot. When pillaging gets finally fixed I will switch to BM Corsair Outlaw I think. (Enchanter has too many buffs to cast, gets annoying, wastes hotkey space).

Bully is nice, Aggress into Bloody Overdrive is really nice. Don’t bother with brick smash or throw sand tbqh.

Blindfire as a secondary ‘invuln’ skill is very nice.

I’d recommend giving it a shot. I’m not sure what the max Evasion % chance is or accuracy %, but my evasion can get pretty dang decent while farming.

how many mobs can u pull with aggress? i had it to lvl5 which should be 15, but feels like 3-5…maybe at max lvl its better? can you pull a full room?

It feels like the biggest issue is that the range itself is not that big, so it depends on the size of the room. I can absolutely pull 10+, but I’d have to count, not sure I’ve pulled more than 15.

Out-Cor-Thaum if you want to ever kill a Murmillo in PvP - swell hands, cloak, hook, brick and A LOT of PvP utility (ranged attacks, attacks that move your character while hooking, dodge frames).

Also the author above is very wrong about not taking Throw Sand, even if he is going for some status-inflicting cards for PvE. It is super great vs boss monsters + greatly improves Blindfire damage + improves that Bully performance even more + gets boosted by Brutality. But for BM I still switched to BM-Cor-Ench to have a better Outrage, and it paid off.

yes, Aggress effective range is only half of Swash Buckling which kinda makes the taunt number useless. I mean if the mobs are already very close to you, why do you need taunt lol To tank? /laugh When does this game need a tank.

I’m sure it’s good and I’ve used it before, but with the BM set I don’t want to have so many things to throw out wasting time since my AAs are actually good. I use blindfire more for the ‘damage while invuln’ than it’s pure damage if I use it.
