Things have changed especially the fact that you can start on two different maps now. Any general leveling guide and tips to optimize exp?
Save your EXP Cards for either when you rank up (Class ranks) or when you encounter a lack of quests/not great zones. This is at least what I did in the CBT and seemed to work well enough.
I’ll just post some tips from Reddit here:
Important notes
This game has a ton of quest that you should do because you’re rewarded with EXP cards.
- Make sure you do all the quest and maps around your level.
- Always go back and forth from Klaipeda and Orsha region to make sure you don’t do any of the maps while being 10+ levels above the map’s level.
- In my honest opinion, it’s always good to stay at the very least 10 +/- levels. Preferably try to stay within 5 +/- levels if you can.
- If you start to fall behind in levels from the map’s level, then use some EXP cards to catch up.
- You do not have to save EXP cards if you don’t want to. It’s just best to save them when you don’t need to use them. I didn’t do much grinding at all and got to level 200.
- Make sure you also party match (2nd option when talking to dungeon tower thingy) when doing dungeon runs. You gain additional bonus EXP from party matching.
Also that map might be useful or you:
Get your hands on a updated exp chart and save your EXP cards for levels that require abnormal amount of EXP to avoid unecessary grinding time.
Look at Tosbase what set you want to be using at key levels such as 40/100/150/200/230 and use this to help you shape your grinding spot. A lot of people ignore this, but tos have some really good items, set bonus and even bonus when using matching gear ( 4 leather = more dodge, etc…), one good example is silver falchion that gives +20 STR, is core on my dex swordsman because boost my dps significantly and help me grind 3x faster than I would without it.
Remember the EXP per mob just start to fall over when you’re 5 levels ahead from it, so is better to stay on a weaker mob with a good spawn than a high level mob with few numbers.
Search for Hidden quests and talk to every NPC you see, just dig everything.
Have fun is the best tip still, tho. Even if you try to do everything as efficient as you can, if you’re not having fun you’ll just loose motivation and play less thus making you fall behind after a couple of days.
Found this 1 guide looks nice gona follow it too
what does the color coding means?
Anything for a shell brother… See you soo on tos and hopeful on the line to buy pkmn sun/moon
If you see someone named wiegraf of valor online, pt me and we can grind.
I thinks colors were used just to make it look better and to make it easier to tell one area from another and find where to go next. I don’t think there’s any special meaning to it.
