Is it really normal to fail in anvil enhancement in the first strike?
yeah i fail them all the time
On normal gears it only fails on the second hit for me, but for the clover it can fail in any hit.
I was surprised by that too.
Weapon, safe until +5
Armor, safe until +3
If it failed before, no, it’s not normal, it’s a bug.

it’s random, once you paid the game already decided if you will fail on one of the 3 hits.
I enhanced my gale slasher yesterday from +10 it became +9 on the first hit. I’m like what. I didnt even get to smash it twice more.
Oh, Yes, that’s normal. Tough, there’s a myth that states being buff and hitting with al you’ve got, improves chances of success, but as I said, only a Myth.
From my experience, if you enhance all at once = more chance to fail. Now, if you got one good enhance, wait a few days and try another, better chances to succeed. And, don’t enhance in cities, do it in high level maps, pro tip.

How does enhancing outside of cities help? Im just pissed that now my brand new viena mace is +6 0pot. ■■■■ that ■■■■. I could consistently get +11 clover leafs without fail DAILY but now when I finally got my first practo weapon it fails and +6 is the highest. And even my manamana is +7 0pot.
Absolute bullshit now I felt l disheartened to even play this game anymore. Viena mace is my first practo weapon in my entire 450hrs playtime in the game.
Dont even know what to do with this garbage +6 viena mace anymore can’t even get my practo and portiums back. ■■■■ this game I think im gonna take a long break from it until R9 and new weapons powercreep arrive.
I’ll just go play overwatch, witcher 3 maybe even pick up stormblood to make myself feel better. Playing games is supposed to be enjoyment and stress free but the enhancement inconsistency bullshit in this game just drices me crazy. I spent over FOUR HUNDRED hours on this game and the game decide to trash my most priced and precious weapon in my entire account with +6 0pot garbage.

You got unlucky. It happens. The smarter option would of been stopping at 6 if you were low potential and consider trading or selling it for a pract to recoup some losses.
Don’t gamble if you can’t afford to lose.
Nobody would want this +6 trash with no pot to get to +11 for a practo. It belongs to the trash can now
well if that is your final weapon then you can keep using golden anvils until somehow you get +11
Golden anvils are way too rare. I am sure there will be new weapons in future R9 and R10…
I will just stop playing until the powercreep. Login daily just to boss rush 170dun and salaus…

Well, yea, you can’t trade it now. You should of stopped at 1 pot and done as windysama suggested and swapped it for a clean practo.
I’m quite vocal about problems I have with this game, but this one is squarely on you.
Instead of waiting for the next day try re-log, works most of the time
Reaching 0 potential is the worst feeling in this game by far, especially on an orange weapon.
