Hi! I’m a Casual player with an idea that I want to share to everyone regarding our GVG System.
First of all, I just want to say I love ToS. Spent a lot of hours playing it and tbh never even tried the current End game content (ET, TBL, etc). I just enjoyed playing and trying different classes combinations. But I must say that a proper GvG is the saving grace of this game. A proper “End-game”.
I also like to disclaim that I only read a few GvG Revamp ideas, and apologize if we have a similar idea to yours.
I just like to post this out and see what the community thinks about it.
Now for my Idea!
“CONQUEST OF THE KEEPS” SYSTEM
I suggest that we put “KEEPs” on the maps with dungeons (such as Forest of the prayer, Tenet Garden, Etc.) and these Keeps will be similar to the dungeon maps’ layout. The idea is the Guilds will have to fight for these KEEPs.
These are details of the Keep Battles:
• The GUILD (Offense, Defense, Support)
Its impossible to play this game with 30 vs 30 players battling each other in 1 area. So the solution:
- Guilds will now have to prepare and divide their members to 3 Different Teams:
- Cavalry (Offense) - This team are the only ones allowed to battle in other Keeps.
- Once they secured a keep, they will be respawned back to their Guild Towers.
- Max of 8 Players.
- Vanguards (Defense) - This team are the only ones allowed to Defend their Keeps.
- They are the only ones that can repair Gates, hire Monsters to defend the Keep.
- Max of 8 Players.
- Garrison (Support) - This team will consist of the rest of the guild members not part of the Cavalry and Vanguards.
- They will be either staying in the Guild Tower to serve as Bench members and support, or they can scout and spy other guilds, or prepare materials for repairing Gates and Flags.
- No Limit in Player Count.
- Guilds can opt to use their CAVALRY team as their VANGUARDS or vice versa, if they want to.
- Members can switch at any given time.
- Team Leaders will have the ability of "CALL TO ARMS", which will teleport party members to his/her location, with 5min CD. (Emergency call, Yes I know.)
• Unowned Keeps
- Unowned Keeps will be populated of Cap Level (330) Monsters and a Boss at the end. (Similar to their dungeon counter part.) The guild that kills the Boss will own the Keep.
• Owned Keeps
- Owned Keeps will have a FLAG of the guild that owns it, located at the the Boss Area. The guild that destroy the flags will be the owner of the Keep. Once destroyed by a guild, all players in the keep will be respawned to their respective Guild Towers. Enemy CAVALRY must queue again to fight for it. (YES, similar to RO’s I know.)
- Once a guild conquered a Keep, they will be given 3min to set their VANGUARDS, hire monsters, and replenish the Flag Gates inside the Keep. A Gate in front of the Keep will open once the 3min prep time is over.
- Owned Keeps’ Flag Area will also have Zemyna Statues for the guild owner to warp into. (Player warp has a 5min CD after use and ONLY Dievs Warp Statues and Sages Portal can Warp to this.)
- The FLAG AREAs will be enclosed by a Gate, enemy guilds must go to other areas of the Keep to activate switches to Open said gate for the FLAG AREA. The Gates will close again after 15min.
- Defending guild will have the option to populate the keep with Monsters to defend the keep with them. (Monsters can be hired with appropriate silver and/or material cost, depending on the monster strength).
• Conquest Schedules and Rules
- The Keeps will be Instanced and a maximum of 4 Guild Cavalry can enter at once. Team Leaders must queue to participate for the Keep Battles.
- The 4 different Guilds within each instanced Keep can battle with each other.
- Battles can be schedule 3x or 4x a Week, and will last 1-2hours. (Ex. 1hr - Tues/Thurs, 2hrs - Sat/Sun)
- Every Conquered and Defended Keeps will give the Guild Points every after GvG sessions.
- Every Week, Keep Owners will be given Extra Guild Points. Then all the Keeps will be reseted to UNOWNED for the next week GvG sessions.
• Guild Keep Incentives
- Keep owners will have access to Keep Dungeons, which will hold Guild Raids.
- Guild Raids will reward players with different Mats and Unique Items ranging from Aesthetic Costumes, Practo Mats, Guild Furnitures, and Guild Avatar Equipments (will be explained further down).
- Owned Keeps at the end of the week will spawn a KEEP VAULT. The Vault should be destroyed by the keep owners by attacking it (HP 10m). This will contain random rewards for ALL guild members. (such as 5pcs Enchant Scrolls/ 10pcs Abrasives / 20pcs Fortune Cookies / 1pc 7(days) Token, etc etc)
- Keep Owners can warp to the Field where the Keep lies from the Guild Tower for FREE.
• Guild Points, Rewards, and Incentives
-
Guild points will serve as a ranking for the Guilds. -
At the end of each month, the Top 4 Ranking guild will fight each other in a Battle Royale. The Winning guild will be earn the award of "Guild of the Month". -
Only Guilds that has been awarded Guild of the Month are eligible of competing with the annual, "Champion of the Realm" Event. -
The Champion of the Realm, will receive rewards such as:- 30(days) Token / Champion Premium Costumes / Champion Premium Head Acce / Practonium, etc.
- Will compete for the TREE OF SAVIOR: KING OF THE REALM Event, which is a battle of each SERVERS Champions.
- The King of the Realm winner, will receive a CASH PRIZE.
• Additional Features
-
GUILD AVATARS- Each guild will have an AVATAR (A Giant Metal Guardian) that they can use to defend their keeps.
- AVATARS can be summoned in front of the FLAG AREA Gate during GvG sessions, and can only be summoned if the GATE is still up.
- Guild Avatars can only be summoned ONCE in a GvG Session.
- AVATARS can be customized aesthetically thru costumes, and can be strengthened by equipping it with Avatar Equipments that can be found in Guild Raids.
- AVATARS can’t be controlled.
- Every month, an AVATAR BATTLE EVENT will be held wherein different Guilds can enter their AVATARS to fight Other guilds AVATARS. Winner will get a reward.
- In my opinion, this feature will greatly add an amazing thing that players can work and compete for. (and I think watching 2 Metal-cladded Giants fight is awesome :D)
These are all just my opinions for a GvG system that I think is possible for this game. With this, a pletora of builds will show up and specific-use builds will also rise making the game more lively, entertaining, and fun.
I apologize for the long post! and lets not be ***holes here and be peaceful and critical.
What do you guys think?
