Another bullshit exploit that imc wont do anything about

today i had a very unique dungeon run

had a good party with healer tank and the works and the party actually wanted to do the magic half of the 130 dungeon but a lone ■■■■■■■ quarrel shooter decided he was going to ruin it by using the wall exploit and going up and fighting the bird on his own before the party could get exp from the rest of the dungeon

so everyone lost there cubes
and everyone lost there potential exp
and imc isnt gonna do ■■■■ about it because imc doesnt care

this is textbook definition of using an exploit to ruin others gameplay

You do realize how long this game has been out and how testing on international games works correct? And how long it usually takes for them to mass identify issues and correct them? They have tons of players to worry about, not just you specifically. The wall thing will probably be corrected in the near future as will a few of the other exploits.

Now if only they could handle the gold spammers but iRO had the same horrendous issue. Hopefully it doesn’t get THAT bad.

Meh…

You know when you see an exploit, it’s better to take a screenshot because the dev can’t read your mind and guess exactly the fuckking spot where the passibility is OFF.

So if you could please add a screenshot the next time you report an exploit, that would be great.

To be fair, how many people play this game with a stream / fraps running every second they’re playing in hopes of catching an exploit? I’m assuming the exploit happened outside of his camera view so how was he going to capture a screenshot of it?

Trying to look at it objectionably instead of calling him an idiot and glorifying exploits unintentionally by being sarcastic.

Since he wasn’t intentionally seeking out exploits, he wasn’t prepared to catch this one happening and just came to the General Discussions forum to vent about it which I mean, what else is General Discussion good for if not General Discussion?

As it obviously is be possible to setup walls you can not jump up (there are a few places ingame), this seems to be intended by design.

The real problem is not you can jump up there but people can disturb party play without any sorts of punishment.

Even if they would block that path everyone knows about, it wouldn’t fix the main issue: killing the final boss equals the end of a dungeon run.
If that guy really doesn’t want to clear all mobs and is just after the cube, he could still just run through all the mobs and kill the harpeia.
There are several solutions though.

  1. fix the jump exploit
    Thats probably relatively hard to do as the engine might be not capable of handling the z-axis correctly

  2. put of a barrier at said path
    band aid solution that would work just fine

  3. use a door that requires x amount of mobs to be killed in the area close to the boss
    This and 2) would be the way to not let anyone destroy your EXP gain but people would be mad about it since they can’t easily rush the bosses anymore

  4. give people time to clear mobs after all bosses are dead already
    Probably the best in beetween solution for everyone. Dungeon would still be limited to 1 hour so just let them kill stuff afterwards. Wouldn’t require any extra server ressources.

Create a portal after the last boss is dead so people can leave immediately or better yet there could be an exit button at the side of your screen.

I’d personally prefer the 4th solution, everyone would be happy and it doesn’t even require any major effort to implement.

I like the idea of making the exit optional instead of automatic when final boss is out…

making it so after the final boss is kill a warp like thingy appear (the thingy that that you use to warp to npc after quest part end)…

that way the rusher can go rush and the rest can keep enjoining their run…

it wont solve the main problem that is people been trash and poisonous to one another…

but it’s something…

He solo’ed the boss? was he high level?

Boss rushing kinda sucks. It conflicts with people who want to do a full run to get some exp. I do a dungeon queue for that 600% exp bonus and people just want to rush to the boss cuz they’re in a hurry to get talt.

It’s pretty toxic behavior that leads to a very shitty gaming experience to people who aren’t all hardcore about phat lewt.
