An Intermediate Guide to Clerics

Should still be 1 skill level on hexing = +1 AoE ratio. But due to its small aoe size it’s not worth going past skill level 5.

Cure and Incin are worth maxing but are up to the player.
I prefer to max cure, since dots interrupt fade anyway while draining a few points out of incin for healing factor and bloodletting.

thanks again @Wurmheart

Quick question regarding 3x Velnia Monkey/Chapperition cards for a Cleric 2 > Diev3 > Miko > PD3 build… which is better? I read somewhere that Velnia Monkey damage bonuses do not affect incineration damage. Is this the case? And does this apply to any of our other skills if it is? I plan on playing with this build almost exclusively, so I’d like to invest appropriately. Thanks!

( The post needs some update in classes info )

Feedback for a build you didn’t post:
(100 dex, 50 con, rest spr) Cleric - Krivis C3 - Monk C3 - Zealot C2
Keys:

  • Blind Faith with a 16k sp pool, meaning ~900k dmg on the 40 hits limit (22k per hit) detoned by a pair of zaibas.
  • Fanatic Illusion and Immolation can be used when Golden Bell Shielding in combination to Blind Faith to exterminate everything in 2 secs while keeping you inmune.
  • Fanaticism, Invulnerable and Beady Eyed are great for monk usage.
  • Beady Eyed + Hand Knife or Palm Strike to initiate on ranged users at PvP, then many instakill capabilities, such as Blind Faith + Zaibas or God Finger Flink + One Inch Punch to deal lots of damage on single target and leave it without SP and vulnerable to pair of aired double punchies boosted by Blind Faith.
  • Zalciai (with over +1200 crit attack buff) + Crit rate equipment to spam painful double punches while Blind Faith is on CD.
  • Daino for +150 aspd buff, helping DP, and also can be used to autoattack on high evasion or block fighters with the purpose to proc Blind Faith very easy while jumping and autoattacking on a hig movility opponent, since it don’t miss by converting your autoatacks to magic damage adding an extra line of holy magic damage to double proc Blind Faith with a simple autoattack such a DP with less base damage.
  • Melstis increase the duration of GBS, Invulnerable, Fanaticism, Blind Faith, and Fanatic Illusion.
  • A faneable combo using Beady Eyed, GBS, Blind Faith and Fanaticism to a mega powerfull Kamehameha (Energy Blast) that can’t be canceled while channeling to max level.

Summary: Dealing close to 1 millon damage is worth enough, but you can fill the downtime with the always trustworthy Monk (I’m probably inflating it because I’m a fan of the class)

EDIT: Forgot to mention that you can almost double punch infinitely with that SP and SP reg.
And find a Pyro-Linker-Chrono-Enchanter as duo… Aspd + Mov spd + more lightning and fire damage + more damage lines + pass + spiritual chain to share the OP buffs is a dream.
And! Buy Arcane Energy scrolls, craft max SP food, use SPR equipment, boost your MAX SP it’s mandatory!

got a link of your build

Should work, did a quick test on my 2 pd chars:

  • my pd2/inq has no velnia cards and got +30% dmg bonus vs yellow caro.
  • my sadhu3/pd3 has 3xlv10 velnia cards and got a +60% dmg bonus vs the same yellow caro.

Keep in mind I don’t fully know how the original incin dmg bonus works, so I just used the same mob. And it seems additive in nature.

Anyhow, also keep in mind that Carve Owls are minions and only benefit from Chapperition Cards or other matk increasing cards.
I’d recommend chapperition because it works for all your main dmg skills, aside from carve attack ofc.

@hinasis_ro:

Imo you’re better off ditching monk2-3 on that build.
After which I’d go for it as a generic Cleric2/Kriv3/xy/Zealot2 build, which is quite decent even as full spr.

Monk1 is alright filler for that tbh, but I don’t think I’d even invest in dex. Try to get it from hg gear instead.

Eh, there are a ton of good synergies with Krivis3 - Monk3 that I think it works out pretty well as a build.

Monk3 is the only questionable part of the build since Golden Bell shield is still pretty lackluster as a circle3 skill. Perhaps Monk2 - Cleric2 would be ideal.

It seems like the wheels act like shields for the player, hence they will take hits off the player while the player is travelling alongside them.

Now they just need to give Merkabah a couple of fixes and it will be a great skill to have and use.

  1. Fix the merkabah buff so that it wouldn’t disappear when 2 wheels’s aura overlap each other.

  2. Have the initial cast time of Merkabah uninterruptible.

Personally I would much prefer Merkabah’s aura to change to something akin to Paladin’s Sanctuary, it registers the additional 10% attack when the player is in the buff area instead of the monster being in the buff area. It makes the skill a whole lot more useful.

@Wurmheart

Hah just noticed who posted this. I just wanted to say; Being that I have 16 Characters and 10 of them being Clerics, as well as being away for the better part of a year; I appreciate you taking the time to write this as it has helped immensely in seeing what has changed. While I missed this post while the rank event was going on, I have rebuilt several of my Clerics with the info. (Hell only takes around a day or so of casually playing for me to get 320 since leveling isn’t really a thing anymore.)

Thanks again Wurmheart!

(Well least for now with all the events.)

Hi, what is Attribute Inquisitor: Burn damage ?

https://tos.neet.tv/attributes/415001 this one?

AA clerics wet dreams.

Wait for Wurm to return from his holidays to give you a serious answer o3o;

Okey fine. It creates a fire on the spot an enemy died by a %chance. That fire hits based on your autoattacks, and also procs sacrament, last rites, aspergilum, etc.

So it hit like a AA, but with unknown attack speed? Or does it depend on dex?

Hi all. I just returned to ToS and want to continue my cleric (level 69).
I wanted something that can solo and also very welcome in parties so I landed on a damage buff Cleric.

Now everywhere outside of this thread people were saying this is solid for a starter build:
Cleric > Priest > Priest > Priest > Chaplain > Cleric > Plague Doctor > Plague Doctor with full SPR.

Now in here I cant find anything that matches that other then one of the auto builds (but it goes “off track” after PD and recommend other stats). Is the guides I have found outdated or wrong ?
In short, I just want something that is simple, solo friendly and does not require lots of gear/funding and is welcome in parites :). Any thoughts ?

It seems to share your character’s ASPD.

I have it at Lv20 and it wrecks bosses (tip: Kill anything that the boss summons to get ez-fire) and kills groups of mobs faster than you could alone (after your wheel goes on CD of course).

Not sure what guides you’ve been reading, though a lot of advice around ToS is either out of date or simply wrong.

Either way, the main dmg buffer build aka spr priest got nerfed indirectly with the r9 patch. Since blessing lost it hit count everyone is basically using pardoner buffs for most content then anyway. It still has a decent niche for PvP though.

There are some other routes you can pick though:

  • Anything with Paladin3 can use Sanctuary to boost dmg for party members, just keep in mind that it scales solely of base pdef and mdef and costs a ton of ingredients to use. (10 holy water per use on a 30s cd…) AKA it needs a lot of funding and good gear…

  • Or anything full support themed with dmg boosts like Miko, Tao1 and Inquisitor. You can also make it a hybrid like say a chaplain/miko/inq/tao. They’re usually good filler on their own, but having at least 2 can be pretty darn good.

Ah thanks man, that explains it. Think the threads I found was about 6 months old.
Hmm have to decide on what to pick then

I see this
+Damage boost: Methadone adds +20% dmg for your party while it is up. In your PD section
and
-Immolation and Fanatic Illusion drain your health by 1% and 0.5% per second which can’t be prevented or reduced. (FI’s drain is negated by fanaticism though). In Zealot section, you may need to update it.

It is the other way round, Methadone actually increases damage received to yourself and party member

Thanks @frould & @miren.remin, updated those sections now.

Anyone knows about sad3 monk3 damage potential?
