Alright so while reading some reddit posts about people complaining about population it hit me that what we are going throgh right now (aka closed servers bugs exploits and bots) is almost identical yo FFXIV first release… I was a founder for that game and when first release the game was in worse shape than ToS is. Infinite gil exploits and so on… They did something release smart… They closed the severa hammered down and fixed the problems over a few months. Then they did the really smart thing… Re-Released the game as FFXIV A realm Reborn… Giving the game a new name sorta so it has a new view from old and new customers and not hindered by old reviews. IMC should do something like thos re-release the game as something like “Tree of Savior a New World” or something different to show new and old players that things are different and also they could start fresh with a new steam page to not be hindered by old reviews. And they could make the original servers that we play on now carries over as veteran servers. With the option to server transfer for free once rerelase. Just my thoughts sorry for spelling and grammar
The game needs adjustments, not a whole rework.
Not talking a re work my whole point is we are hindered by bad reviews a freah start would be nice for public image to new and old players.
Great idea and they can also rename it to Tree of Saboteur: Unbalanced Returns
Not sure if your mocking me. I just thought a refresh with a new clean sheet to go from is a decent thought because of new players checking reviews all they are going to see is all the people who cried about pointless stuff then quit while the game was still in closed beta. I love the game i’ll stick with it regardless
A restart is a fantastic idea that could reestablish the company’s image and extend the life of the game.
Unfortunately IMC can’t succeed with this for a couple reasons:
- It’s a F2P model. F2P games are doomed to fail from day one for a whole list of reasons I mentioned in my last post in case you are curious:
- Even if it wasn’t a F2P model. IMC lacks the skill and competence to pull this off. Consider FFXIV had to pay to bring in one of the leader geniuses on MMORPGs in the industry. IMC is just a small business with a failing game project. They’ve not the money to fund a rework, since attempting a rework with the same staff members and game designer would lead to the same results unfortunately.
