An idea about Hidden classes

Hi everyone.

We all know basically “nothing” about some Hidden Classes, about Shinobis/Shepherds/Puppeteers/Appraisers/… Because we still don’t know what will be the requierements to unlock them. But one day, IMC Games will explain how to do so.

But WHAT IF they add some REAL Hidden classes, some that no one knows the existence, and that players can discover randomly while exploring the world?

Do you think that would be a good idea? Feel free to argue.

There are model files in the client so we can tell if there is a hidden class not discovered yet.

It’s a possibility they left out hidden class files as well, anticipating people looking through them. I figure sometime the level cap will raise and we’ll have more classes that are normal and maybe anything rank 7 and above can have a hidden class but may not always have to be that way. I have a feeling that so far only Appraiser, Puppeteer, and Plague Doctor are the only hidden classes and those other ones we don’t see yet are only rank 7 and will be obtainable by everyone once the rank limit is lifted.

Personally the idea of hidden classes seems okay as long as they aren’t actually going to limit them, because in the end everyone will figure it out no matter how hard it is to find. As people have pointed out earlier, making limitations on the number of people that can have that class isn’t good if those players were later to leave the game. The only solution I can think of is that hidden classes shouldn’t count as an actual rank class but rather an extra set of skills you obtain from the npc, that will disappear if you don’t talk to the npc after a certain time period like 1-3 months? That way when there is a cap on the class it isn’t locked away forever because someone left. The only downside to that is, I’m sure there will be people who purposefully log in just to block people from getting that, even if they don’t play the game themselves anymore.

As for making the hidden classes a random encounter… I don’t think people will like such luck based events. But my feeling is that finding the hidden classes is more going to be a matter of how your build is shaped very specifically, so if you do discover it, by the time you try to reroll it might already be full. Making it random though, my worry is that no one will find it, at all. There’s also issues with the hidden classes could possibly be unbalanced in some way but because so little people play them it won’t be clear how. It would be truly awful if they were OP, because then it wouldn’t be about skill or figuring out a build but solely just luck.

They did left out hidden class files out of the current client, or they would have been already revealed by dataminers.

Oh, so you think a good amount of the 30 announced hidden classes will be normal rank 7+ classes?

Yeah pretty much. The level cap right now I think is 200 right? But I think there’s areas that are 400 if I remember seeing it right. They said there’s going to be 80 classes and right now there’s 44 that are playable. I figure to make it even there will be 4 hidden classes and 36 more that are for normal level progression adding in 4 more normal ranks for an even 10 ranks for each class. That’s my speculation anyways.

My guess: You can choose 1 or maximum 3 of these Classes - they only have 1 circle and no skill points to contribute but offer a couple of special and unique skills/abilities - just my theory dont ya ever quote me on that.

There might be special ways of unlocking such classes - including Quests to finally get them.

Let’s say Appraiser: a possibility to get this class unlocked: Must have circle 1 of Alchemist and successful awaken 100 Items - now take the related Quest from XXX in YYY

Again just a theory dont quote me on that

Appraiser special skill - you may awaken an item again with a random boost on its awaken ability - uses up 2 item potential and cannot be used again on the same item

Or maybe something like this: you may identify an Item and find a random hidden awaken ability - uses up 2 potential and cannot be used again on the same item

Again again again i am just guessing. xD

IMC has promised a minimum of 80 classes on release. There are 4 classes in rank one. For every rank after, 24 = 8 classes are introduced. Should IMC continue that formula until rank ten, then we are left with 4+98 = 76 classes.

The 4 missing classes mean that IMC will either deviate from their presented formula (ex. they could give you four choices in rank ten instead of the usual three) or make up for it with hidden classes.

tl;dr There’s a good chance that there’s a fourth hidden class that IMC has yet to even hint at.

Yeah that’s exactly what I’m saying. I said only those 3 because out of the other classes we know and what OP listed those are the only ones we have. There’s still another one missing we don’t know about yet. I’m going to hedge a guess it might be that Templar class people were talking about that is for forming guilds. But yeah.

Ugh as far as i knew, these where the hidden classes: Shinobi,Plague Master, puppeteers, appraisers and Shinobis o.o

Creating the “Templar Hidden Class”, in order to just be able to create a guild, that would be the worst idea ever.
Making a char that you may not really want to play, just to have a guild… Seriously?! :astonished:
I like to think that “Templar” is just a title, meaning you’re a guildmaster, nothing more, nothing less… Or maybe a title with a little stats bonus, in pvp perhaps.

If you want a potion, you go to the alchemist. If you want a scroll, you go to the pardoner. If you want to make a guild, you go to the templar. I fail to see the reason why it should work differently. Don’t give up on guilds yet :sunglasses:

If templar is goin’ to be a hidden class it would probably the 1st hidden class to not be hidden. Since people (unlike me) tend to create guild to make a name in-game.

Or just for fun (like an extention party that shelters future raid mates) and it is kinda unlikey for some to change their class just for that.

I want maid/butler class
