System

  • CPU : Intel® Core™ i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz (I have it clocked at 4.2)
  • RAM : 16 GB
  • Graphics Card : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980
  • Mainboard : Something good enough to hold a bit more than this. Don’t want to open my case.
  • Storage : Samsung SSD 840 EVO 1TB & 1TB HDD
  • OS : Windows 10
  • Internet Connection : Cable 25mb/s
  • Country, Region : United States - East Coast - New York

Things I’ve done:

  • Verified my steam files.
  • Reinstalled the game
  • I have Directx 12 installed (idk if that makes a difference)
  • Gone into the user.xml file and changed the graphics in there.
  • Updated my graphics drivers
  • Gone into the 3D control panel and set Nvidia as default
  • Set steam launch options to use Directx 12
  • Fill the screen with error messages as it spams me with a message every 5 seconds when it occurs.
  • Laugh maniacally in desperation

Things I’m going to do:

  • Throw my computer out my window

I’m at a loss on what to do. The error board has 3 other topics like mine, and none are resolved. Am I doing something simply dumb or am I alone in the world with my issue.

have you tried to create another character or connect to different server and try there to localize the problem?

or launch steam and game with administrator priviledges?

or disabling your AV/Firewall solutions?

P.S. Depending on the height throwing PC out of window may not produce expected results and most of the parts will still be salvageable. I’ve heard that cooking electronic stuff in microwave oven works way better.
