An attribute that make sadhu use soul explosion without OOB

this is a good idea? well i’m playing with a caster cleric(i’m on circle 6 druid right now) and i’m having a lot of troubles against flyers, only zaibas and soul explosion work against them and while fighting against a mob is impossible use soul explosion if safety wall is on cd. imo making an attribute that make possible cast soul explosion without out of body would help alot (well, to balance make the knock effect dont work if you cast the explosion without out of body)

How are you gonna detonate an Astral Body Explosion without an Astral Body?

I’m not sure where you’re grinding, but OOB autos should be enough to handle flying mobs by themselves.

he makes an astral body on the same place of the body and explodes? also oob attacks are not that strong and you cant do that if are monsters hitting you

Perhaps an attribute that deactivates Soul Explosion - and instead changes the skill mechanics to be only a “magical” shockwave that propels from within the body at the cost of dealing reduced damage. That way from time-to-time people could use a knock-back that is actually useful for the Sadhu since the spirit is not destroyed in the process.

Should’ve gone for that fade(cleric 2 ), man.
i went sadhu 1 > pardoner and i can aoe kill with just explosion + indulgentia.
If i had this attribute you proposed, i would probably never use OOB again and just use the explosion.

I think sadhu has the most absurd sustained DPS ever. They are strong, but i don’t think you’ve unlocked their potential since you’re built to rely on casts and not OOB basic attacks to deal damage.

I supposed you could have a vacuum effect w/ an explosion instead of a knockback, but i don’t want the cryo 3’s thunder to be stolen :<

my build is almost full int, oob attacks are int, how is supposed to me unlock the true potential of oob?

maybe it’s your chosen classes?
did you spec in attribute damage at all?
are you using the ground tile buff?
are you familiar with your hitboxes to the point where you don’t need safety zone vs melee mobs ?

i chose krivis 3, after that in rank 5 there is monk that doesnt fit my build and pardoner that is almost useless (just a class to make money), in front of it i was forced to chose sadhu or paladin, of course that, for my build, sadhu was the better choice.

This flying mobs are usually weaker then most in the first place.

Enhance (attribute) it, mine does 1.4k every hit (4.2k every z).

edit: I meant attribute

How did you build that your OOB autos aren’t strong? Mine do 890 damage each at level 150 without using the buff

Impacts how you have to play with your sadhu.

If you had gone another level into cleric instead of another krivis, you could’ve picked up fade which is pretty effective for dealing out some extra damage with very little risk. But you’ve gone all in onto zaibas, so you’ll want to optimize around it, but even then setting up an astral explosion would be quite tedious unless you count pulling mobs into zaibas with the spirit & exploding when mobs get close, when i think about that, it doesn’t sound too effective in practice. Maybe in party play ?

I tried comparing them, but it’s clear there’s a sustained auto-atk style and a nuke rotation oriented style

C1 - K2

  • Safety Zone
  • Zaibas

You’ve got the shield and basic zaibas, hopefully picked up cure and heal as zoning tiles & for the dmg buff. if you’re fighting over a long period of time you won’t have a great time trying to do anything OOB.
The set-up time for astral explosion is not very fast (dat wind-up animation) does this really have synergy with some overkilling thunder-strikes? The astral body explosion has a cooldown similar to safety zone, i think it’s implied that they be used together, all things considered. I don’t know how strong zaibas is past c1 besides the aoe attribute, so please forgive.

C2-K1

  • Safety Zone
  • Fade

Cleric 2 - Krivis 1 Allows the player to pickup sadhu at rank 4.
There is synergy with fade & aukuras which allows the torch to act as bait. in combination with fade, you have free DPS (basic hits) without the risk of aggro whilst hidden.

Because there is 3 different classes in this path there is the ability for back-up zoning spells

  • Zaibas
  • Cure
  • Heal

whilst fade AND safety-zone are on cooldown, bear in mind Safety zone lasts 20s and the cooldown is 48S(Lvl5) , Fade is 20s duration & 40s CD (Lvl5) And since fade removes the hidden state of our character with astral explosion, it’s efficiently used as an AOE execute when fade or safety zone is about to die, plus it’s 2 different skills of protection, which means more situational usage for astral body explosion vs the full krivis build.

Summary:

  • Astral body explosion is more situational use than free use
  • use of the sadhu skills vary on the players sub-classes

I picked it as a filler for this CBT( I just wanted the outfit really) since i didn’t want to go sadhu C2. Poession might be amazing for you, but it didn’t have what i was going for, but pardoner’s pretty nice - despite the pardoner nerfs on simony. creating myself some dispeller scrolls and always having double-up cure is pretty nice. currently loving it for the double aukuras & zalciai since i like to move around a lot with prakiti. Also love using Indulgentia & Astral body explosion when i’m in a tight spot and stuck in a safety zone

i didnt got cleric 2 because isnt work it, i’m at rank 5 and go back to a basic class circe 2? hell no, you must be crazy. you are giving up power if you go to a previous class in later ranks

Tell that to cryo/pyro.

Anyway, the comparison was based upon going sadhu from R4, have a look:

It still doesn’t change what i’ve said though. Circle 2 cleric is worth it if you lack disengaging spells and are reliant on outer body for dealing damage outside of zaibas.
Speaking as a C2 cleric>sadhu who has had no problem fighting monsters land or flying.

If you’re a rank 6 druid, shouldn’t you have Sterea Trofh ? From what i’ve heard that’s even better than fade, but it sounds like you’re lacking somewhere - resulting in this thread.
