Amount of Character Customization?

Hi there, just wondering what amounts of character customization there will be… coming from RO I’d assume probably nothing but hairstyles and possibly hats?`

Just looked at the models thingy and those hip sizes are ridiculous, among with the heeled-shoes infestation that also got into the later RO patches… Just hoping there will be some way to not wear heels or customize that… well, will there be?

Default Barracks allow 4? Characters to be created. Then you can increase the size of your Barracks to increase your character creation size.

I believe Barracks (Character select screen and creation) will be called the Lodge in the English version…

Uh… I wasn’t asking about how many character one can create?.?

From what i’ve read it’s pretty much just hairstyles, costumes, and you can get armbands too :stuck_out_tongue:

Hmm, was to be expected haha. Oh well, back to lurking for another RO-like game to come out someday.

I believe there was confirmation on at least 50 non-stat related costumes being in-game. How they’re obtained is a mystery to me.

ooo that’s news to me aha, thought it was only the class costumes.

Good to know

Well will have to see if any of them change shoes

Hair color and eye color customization.

Odd, those models look pretty different from the ones in that modelviewer… Did they change hip sizes or is that just perspective?

Possibly perspective, I don’t know for sure though.

Oh sorry for the misunderstanding!
I believe your costume is based on the classes you are and previously were. Then you can pick hats.

Hairstyle, and Gender is customizable.

Supposedly things I heard is theyre working on is skin color, haircolor, and eye color?

At the moment you can only change Hairstyle and Gender :frowning: I hope they will add much more in the final game.

I have no doubt that they will aha, can’t see why they wouldn’t anyway

Yeah, just hoping I can have non-heeled shoes
Curiously older Ragnarok Online patches had a lot fewer classes with heels than newer ones

TOF doesnt need insane amount of character customization like ala black desert online etc…the appeal of this game is the gameplay and lets see who will prevail later.

Eh, I’m mostly just bugged by the hips being super wide and the characters wearing heels :stuck_out_tongue: Customization could solve that issue.

The appeal is the gameplay? Well yeah, I tend to enjoy game better if it has customization AND gameplay though
And I’m curious on the gameplay now, coming from RO the gameplay was super-simple, tedious and rather boring.
The experience was nice though because of the social aspects (the nice crowded levelling spots before they destroyed them, guild spots, chatrooms, the way merchant shops worked, etc) and the good music

i think that the only amount of character customization that TOS needs is skin color, hair style, hair color, and maybe eye color. Id be pretty satisfied with that.

According to the development blogs there will be very little customization. A couple hair styles, you will be able to change your hair color but only by unlocking the color through in-game achievements(which are character specific so you’ll have to unlock them on EACH character), MAYBE eye color and they said they would LIKE skin color customization, but that it was unlikely to happen. Other than that you can wear a costume/armband/hat, but they can’t be customized in any way other than choosing which one you want to wear.

Which would be nice @ choosing wihc one to wear, except there literally like not much difference between them xD
