AMD users mine as well uninstall

It’s a tough pill to swallow but Intel CPU’s are absolutely mandatory for ToS due to lack of multicore use. This makes endgame unplayable for AMD CPU’s.

We’ll always be late to world bosses due to loading slower, frame by frame lag during raid fights makes getting a cube borderline impossible, slow channel switching etc.

I honestly can’t believe the game is launching this way. You’re ostracizing 50% of PC gamers and if the game fails you’ll only have yourselves to blame. Fix this before the F2P crowd gets to endgame or ToS will suffer irreparable damage.

I got a Intel Haswell cored cpu @ 4,5GHz here and a AMD Vishera based cpu @ 4,4GHz. Both are laggin as hell on more as 3-4 simulaneous aoe spells.

This game is just utterly bad optimized with the netcode.

Hey I had an AMD FX 6120 and the game ran as well as could be expected, oh right, except for my characters head constantly spazzing out. Still runs like ■■■■ on an i5.

My favorite is feeling like my character is constantly going through an exorcism.

Fun fact: network lag can cause FPS lag in this game, somehow. (This is not normal for MMORPGs.)

I have an AMD FX 8350, with an AMD R9 390X by MSi, on an ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z, with a SAMSUNG 850 EVO SSD (250 GB) and HyperX 32 GB of RAM… I still get severe lag at times.

My hex-core 5820k runs alright at 4Ghz end game. I mean sure I lag a little but nothing I’d describe as unplayable.

I laughed so hard!! Hahaha

Seriously tho, the head rotating is creepy when I first started playing.

It is very strange indeed.
Even FFXIV:ARR and Diablo 3, both very server-side heavy games (all UI interactions are done server side in the former) don’t cause any fps drops as a result of network lag.

I’ve been telling people for years that AMD has half the per-core performance of Intel, guess people wasted their money on that “great deal” anyway. lol. AMD is only a good deal if you’re crushing all 8 cores with video encoding.

I got suckered into an AMD gpu and the game has glitchy graphics + crashes a lot - my friend with NVIDIA has no issue. The usual AMD story. Sucks.

Echoing sentiments from others here, game runs like ■■■■ even if your CPU core speed is so fast you need a superconductor to cool it.

So youre saying that people with the AMD processors are stuck with the head spinning thing?

I actually bought a mid-high computer setup just for ToS because I’ve been waiting for the game since it’s Project R1 announcement back 5-6 years ago.

I should’ve bought an IBM Supercomputer. JK

At least it doesnt happen on every single cpu owner. Though i dont know if any intel owner has headspaz ingame.

But back to topic, the performance problems are almost nonexisting optimazations.

Yep. Pretty much. There are multiple threads about the issue dating back to August '15 and 100% of those reporting the issue has an AMD processor.

They are only looking at your soul, nothing to worry about

because IMC bought a cheap host server and cheap developers, they made this game unplayable

No no no no no!!!

Dont feel bad man. I’m running an intel it4670K @ 3.4ghz (havent overclocked it) and this game still takes me forever to load in, lags, freezes and what not.
Seriously my pc can run GTA V, Sims3, GW2 and just about any other MMO on max graphics settings with good FPS. This game is just very very very(copy paste about 100 more times) optimized.

I hate this so much. It’s really annoying when they do that, it should be fixed asap.

Amd processors haven’t been good in years and have been years behind the technology of Intel. This is really nothing new. There’s a reason the cpus are so cheap in comparison.

Also I’m running an i7 6700k and sometimes I spike as low as 45 fps in towns for a second or two until it goes to 55-60 again, so it’s just issues with the optimization.
