Am I Playing Assassins Wrong?

I’m new to ToS and am enjoying it. I was excited to play the assassin class since I was an assassin back in RO. However, I feel like I am playing the class incorrectly.

When I compare it to other classes like Corsair and Bullet Marker, the skills feel underwhelming. The skills for assassins do little damage on their own with small AoEs. Even with the set ups for the skills, I could do similar damage with other classes faster by spending a little more sp. The only exception is Annihilation, but its a 1 time use skill that feels like overkill with a 35 second cooldown. With Bullet Marker having a similar skill that can be used twice I don’t use it often. In terms of autos, Bullet Marker seems to be completely superior as well.

What am I doing wrong? Is the assassin class meant to be a single target class focused on bossing? I feel that I can kill most bosses more easily and safely with a Bullet Marker.

Any help would be appreciated. As of right now, the only reason I have stuck with Assassin is because of Hasisas and using Instant Acceleration to get out of sticky situations (which is rare).

No ur not playing it wrong most classes tend to be grouped into either challenge mode/farming/ or bossing. Assassins excel bossing. Good single target damage a buff that increases crit rate and lowers crit resistance from enemies .

Simple solution: play Assassin - Corsair - Bullet Marker.
(currently ranked #8 on the build ranking page, so it must be a good build)

Assa is for mobility, and the buff to boost crit, I thing the damage from the skills is really low except for Annihilation that is too high for an AoE skill, but to me is more a PvP class than PvE.
