Hello, I am a new player and was just wondering about if i am doing something wrong. Basically, I heard about the linker class and I browsed a guide on the internet for a path but it didn’t say anything about stats. So, what it seemed to be is that it is a semi support class, so i started putting points in spr. Now i am level 37 and i feel i am not doing damage to anything. should I just make a new character an put points in int?
37 is ok, you don’t need to make a new char to fix.
But tell us your plans for this char, what path you will take after linker, is it linker C1 2 or 3?

Stop putting points to SPR. It’s really bad at the moment cuz not much skill benefit SPR unless you are a cleric.
You can start over if you want but if you feel like don’t have time, can still continue.
Linker is a rank 3 support class. I would suggest you look on what class is your endgame and can ask further

Well, the guide says wizard c3, linker c3, featherfoot c1. So i guess that is my plan i guess.
Also, i am struggling like hell to do quests alone while my friend is using a bow and clear waves a lot faster. A LOT!
Put point to INT for damage and CON for your survival. Full INT for damage (with a bit CON if you cannot afford high endgame equip)

Your path is pretty hard until wizard C3 and turns even harder again until featherfoot.

I am currently wizard c2.
You can put the points in INT, and up CON to 100.
As for the build, since you got it already figured out, to make things easier for you and since you are already at Wiz C2, you either go with C3 to get magic missile, or take Linker, it will help same way.
Other paths, only if you drop 1 in Linker (instead of C3 is C2) and take 1 in Pyro, and the rest in Chrono C3 (it would end at R7) then take either Sage or Enchanter.
I have one with Enchanter, other day I saw someone’s video with one linker chrono enchanter doing heavy damage on R8 content, but it’s gear dependent, since pyro 1 is not really that much.
My suggestion is to keep your original plan.

take wiz 3 since you already went wiz 2. take linker 2, that makes 5 ranks.
take 1 runecaster and finalize with featherf c2.
wiz3 > Link 2 > runecaster > featherfoot 2
This is almost standard build.
You will have no problems with your gameplay.
Plus, runecaster is FUN and got buffed.
Link > magic missile = easy lvling.
Runecaster have some dmg and good utility.
Feather have burst dmg.
Linker is OP.
Wiz 3 have soooooo much utility for a mage.
250 int >> the rest in Con.
Int first.
OBs: Make a new character. 37 point in con = almost 3.7k hp.
Sprt is useless for wizz atm.
lvl 37 is preatty fast.
Do the quests, do not farm a single monster.

Well, I can’t afford to start a new character atm. I will take the path you’d just mentioned and try to make it work with what I have. Thank you very much btw.
I’d also suggest on taking FF 2 since having a bit of SPR doesn’t hurt because the class is heavy SP consuming and the higher the level of Blood Sucking is the more SP it consumes per second.
It is not optimal to have SPR but the Wizard class it would hurt less is Featherfoot imo.
I’d also recommend leveling again to your level as @pedrolauro points.
Also, since you’re a new player I think 250 INT is fine, but if you were an old player and already geared I’d go Full CON.

screw up your build? all in spr?? no problem!!
all you need is a double credit card weopons in your hand~!!
buy lvl 5 or lvl 10 blue gems if you are rich and then put it in your weopon…
scale your magic attack with magic amplified and magic attack + in hair costume 1, 2, and 3.
buy high end gears
transcend all your weopon to highest stage
- your weopon to the max
~ solo all the way to lvl 330 then quit!
after this,u will be thinking… shiit not enough hp… .why my hp pool is so low… comparing to other class like cleric who have heal and etc… then u will start build a new wiz char will full con… then u saw someone afk farming at dina bee farm and demon prison… then u will be thinking… wow awesome… i will make one necro and join them … then shiit your electric bill suddenly shoots up to few hundred bucks !!!
