Alternatives to Demon Prison?

I’m asking because I legitimately have a huge lag issue in Demon’s Prison.All of the parties and quick monster spawning there reduce my FPS to a crawl,making it impossible to grind there.

I realize it’s not a good thing and that yes,I don’t have the best PC ever.But it handles most other areas just fine.

This may be a futile question,but is there anywhere else I can grind as a 145 Elementalist? I’ve been on the Pertinence Route lately which is alright EXP now,but I know it won’t stay that way as people have been using Demon’s Prison for such a huge level range;so I need another area or two to overcome that wall like they are.

I really wish they had put more content in this range so this didn’t become an issue for so many players.Even if the lag there weren’t such an issue for me,it’s pretty boring to have to stay in one area for so many levels.At least I think so.

Is the lag only in District 2 or the whole of Demon Prison? District 1 spawns are much less dense. The elite Yellow Egnomes in Disctrict 1 are good to grind if your build can handle them efficiently. Otherwise, Dina Bee Farm as gosheven suggested.

The only one i found for soloing, other than that only Demon 1/2 with party.

I am with you there, there are lots of maps out there that lack population and some areas that don’t have a single monster/npc.

Maybe they will add more maps to level with once it will be open beta.

In all honesty we don’t need more maps, there are plenty, but we need them to be populated, and there are some areas that the monster hit too hard, i had a hell of a time trying to do quests from Nuorodin Falls to Istora Ruins because the monsters there hit me from 1k-2.5k damage (no criticals counted).

Alternative (works really well with Pyro 2 because of perma Flame Ground + Prominence jump cancel)

137~150 - Grand Corridor, in particular near the entrance to Sanctuary, Blue Stoulet gives a lot of exp and it’s easy enough to kite them in flame ground. (1 Stoulet is worth about 4 monsters elsewhere)
(optional: Stand on the altar in that room, the stoulets can’t hit you and you can just drop flame ground and watch them burn this is slightly slower than moving between the corridor towards Sanc and back to the room but it’s a lot easier to do…)

151~161 - Shaton Reservoir - Near the entrance to demon prison 2 is where a good amount of pink mole spawn, these hit harder/faster than Blue Stoulet but they still fall under the flame ground dance.

(I haven’t set foot into prison 2 yet but if the tree there are as simple as these two then it’s next on the list)

After 161 - just use your exp cards, if you really started at 137 by the time you hit 161 you already done your 30m grind so just do quests/use exp cards from here.

That’s true, i forgot those areas, other area too is outside at Penitence Road, there’s a Valkarine statue there also making it good when you need repair and resupply.

Trees are hard to solo as wiz, they have an insane HP pool + they hit hard and their attacks are AoE, so if you are too close to your companion/summon/team mates you will receive the hit too (when i was at 168 in my sorc i too 1k+ damage from splash).

Thank you so much for the options,I really needed them.At this point a can handle Stoutlets,but that spot on the altar is typically always taken.I’ll check in about an hour though and see what it looks like.

The Hoglans [or whatever their names are] are alright EXP especially at double,but they spawn too poorly for me at this point.

The pink moles are hitting me pretty hard for 1.6k too and I just finished my quest line there.Not sure I’m ready to grind there.

I went with a higher leveled friend and test-fought one of those trees to see how I would do,definitely not ready for those yet.[They don’t kill me but I have to go through all of my spells and CD before I can beat one by myself.]

You get it @nando20xx,alot of the monsters are hard hitters right now.I don’t prefer to solo,but a lot of friends are either too high or too low to party with at this point,so I’ve kind of had to at this point.

I started saving at 140 as opposed to 137.In what level range is that going to put me in?

Difference between 137 and 140 is fairly small since it’s right after the curve drop.

160 ‘should’ be enough from your starting point, but you can grind to 161-162 if you want to be safe.

(and this is assuming you simply want to hit 175, and doesn’t care about grinding anything in between, like Wizard Bracelet from shardstatue at 170)

If you still around that level do DG130 (if you still have runs) or try to grind at main chamber, but be aware that the small star ships there (w/e the name of that thing is) freeze on hit, but there are other monsters on the big room (from Pamaldu Groom to Meile Oratorium that lead to the altar and i was grinding on them for a while, not really a nice spot but at least it do something

I did messed up on my cards used them all before 160 and got stuck at around 167, me and my friend so now we grinded until 170 and started doing some quests again collecting more cards, should we use them now or save for later? Honestly i’m more tempted to use all of them (not many around 18 L7 and L8) than try to find a grinding spot at 170.

140 should be enough for Stoulet already, they’re 141 and because of Ice PIke I don’t recommend Loftlem (similar reason is why I recommend the spot at the end of grand corridor, where there’s only Stoulets and no maiden around)

If you do not have any spot you like right now then I’d say use them, there’s a few spot that doesn’t offer exactly the best exp gain but have some nice loot.
For example Woodiuwa in Viltis Forest drops Rapid Bangle recipe, which is used for Sissel Bracelet (and +40 HP regen helps)
Shardstatue at Spring Light drops Wizard Bracelet, the best offensive bracelet for caster right now (until someone find Pora/Pore anyway)

And the higher you get the less level difference bonus you have to deal with when you go to Roxona for materials (unless you’re going for the YOLO awakened stuffs, Roxona is probably going to be your go to set)

I see, well the exp from the cards at this level is good but since there is barely any quest now they only gave me a level, i will take a look for the caster bracelet later, right now i’m doing party quest dungeons or w/e its called with a friend on her archer, its not fast but we are getting good exp and some money + some cosmetics and i got a spearfish rod level 40 (laughed at that one), we are in 2 but with my summons is almost like a party of 4 without healer and tank lol.
