The problem is probally that their packets that are sent aren’t even encrypted which means its super easy for someone to code a bot for it, you gotta encrypt that stuff. As for the bots I really don’t see how they going to do much, there are so many. One way to get rid of them is put up a capcha that pops up every bit when your out grinding, and if you fail to do it in 30s, your kicked to char select, if you fail it a 2nd time short ban, 3rd time maybe a 2 day autoban so the gm’s can investigate. While it may be annoying for us players, its literally the only way to automate getting rid of them. Seen other games use it, usually when it pops up your char will become invincible, and they usually give you a short exp boost for answering it correctly.
Once bots infest a game there is no real way to manually get rid of them, besides updating the clients net code so they have to recode all the bots.
I just wisht hey would restore the games proper spawn rates already, when u kill a monster if it has a 15s repop, it will respawn in 15s after its death as long as the total mob population for that enemy is below a number. Insted of this wide spawning every 1-2 mins crap they are using now.
Windforce they are also losing mass profit from allow stuff like enchant scrolls or tokens to be freely tradeable, I am pretty pissed cuz i got my friend founders so he could buy me 2 tokens and he uses the free one, only to find out that while tokens say tradeable (the ones bought from the tp vendor) it lies, you cannot trade them, only throw them on market, and since we can’t trade silver I got screwed out of it. Needless to say I sent in a support ticket bishing how it lies saying its tradable between players when its not. If its market sellable only it should state this on the damned item.
