Dear developers,
Allow me to paint you a picture.
I started playing, as many did, immediately once the server opened. I took the day off, since I rarely use all my leave in a year.
Based on the definitive ‘no’ on an EU based server, I claimed my DLC. About 6 hours later, a new EU server was opened.
This caused two thing; I can’t switch servers right now, unless I forfeit:
a. My family name
b. My DLC bonus (the 50 one)
And; All the people from EU with whom I was going to play, or are part of another community with whom I often talk and play, decided to start on the other server immediately, because, why bother with migration if you don’t have to. Right are they.
So what baffles me, is the shear indecision after the decision was made to set up a EU server. The first thing a proper community manager would do, is tie 1 and 1 together and form 2. Where do you want these EU players? On the EU server. When do you want them there? NOW!
So how would you go about that?
a. NOT by letting them wait for a transfer
b. NOT by making them level separately for a month!
You enable these players to switch servers NOW and allow them to obtain their DLC bonus AGAIN, ONCE, within the period until Open Access. The longer you wait, the harder it will be to make these people move.
