Allow al classes to sprint

We have 3 options

1- We should be able to sprint, no matter what class we have. Allow everyone to sprint out of combat to reach areas faster. And now, the point: ONLY SOWRDIES CAN SPRINT WHILE IN COMBAT. Dealing or receiving damage disables the sprint for like 10 seconds, unless u are swordi, then u can sprint while in combat.

2- Change stamina, like 25 base for swordies (like now), 15 for archer and 5 for wizard and cleric (it can change for next classes), so all classes can sprint, even while in combat, but magic classes will get tired very fast, even if just walking. This way ALL CLASSES have to take stamina into account, mages could run out of it while in combat and get rooted in place if they move too much

3- Combine both. Different classes get different stamina, but still only swordies can sprint while in combat. This way everyone can sprint out of combat to reach areas faster, but mages won’t be able to run.

I personally like the third. Even mages could sprint if they need it in combat, but it’s risky, cause 5 stamina runs out in 2-3 seconds and u get rooted

These stamina changes limit design space for classes that use stamina for skills, or could in the future.

Also creates bias class selection
Ex lets say cleric gets 5 stam then they become monk and they get 25 stam so they can run and double punch. Whats to stop people from putting 1 rank for the stam bonus which then completely circumvents your balancing.

I like that your trying to make sprint viable for every class but i think your plan needs a little more refining is all.

Thats a great idea and I don’t see any negative sides of this feature. It could even be something like a class attribute for the swordsman to reduce that cooldown. 10 seconds base, and a max level 5 attribute reduces it by 2 seconds per level.

Also we need to make easier sprint.

Like, jump when you RELEASE the jump button, but not when you press it. And. if you press it but you hold it, you sprint instead. There’s no reason to make sprint difficult, being able to do it easily with the jump button, so it’s not about difficult to execute the mechanics, BUT difficult to understand and play the mechanics
