there’s good parts about every class.
for ranks i dont think i will touch alchemist or squire. not outstanding costume, and high cd/making item time. every rank leading up to it doesnt really matter because it will be weak anyway.
its good for people who dont care about strength and want uniqueness instead

right now rodelero is pretty bad. and sapper looks really weak too

i don’t hate swordman. but i hate they are weak once wrong choice classes in a build will cost your game nothing. unlike other classes (cleric, wizard and archer), they are easily viable between thier tree classes even you messed up in a build.

either to choose popular swordman builds or choose other class trees. simply conclusion, swordie is not very strong to viable between all classes.
dps wizards are very limited too. wizards have so many utility classes you can say wizard class is more utility oriented than dps. archers have a better dmg:utility class ratio than wizards.
one thing i would want is more dps classes for wizards late game. and rework pyro skills.

I probably won’t touch a crafting class. Takes a lot of commitment and time. I can’t nolife this game unlike my younger self so I’d like all 7 of my ranks dedicated to battle.
Pardoner’s the exception. DE+Incinerate = yes please.
the three dps wizard paths are quite strong, but anything outside of it is really weak
i would say swordies have more flexibility with more dmg classes than wizards
i have a wizard c1 pryo c3 linker c2 with lv211 at krToS. so far nothing is hard for me
i wanted to end with warlock r7 but then iToS annouced, and i quit.
Clerics are limited with damage. Archers are limited with CC and AoE. Wizards are limited with survivability and the need for cast times.
Every class has its limitations, while Wizard may have better DPS options than Swordsman, they sure as hell don’t have that HP scaling. Archer might have comparable DPS to Wizard, with the bonus of no cast times, but they can’t CC anything and they lack AoE. Cleric might be able to resist everything with PD, have many utility skills, and heal themselves up, but of course they can’t dish out damage like the other class trees.
Swordsman isn’t exactly the DPS option, if you want them to have lots of DPS then you must scale down their survivability. The biggest problems melee classes usually have in MMOs is that they lack mobility, but Swordsman can dash while no other class can, which is great. Swordsman can do a lot, they have their own strengths, and while you might say their damage isn’t so hot you can’t forget they have 3x the HP of an archer or wizard without putting any points into CON, and are pretty much the only viable tanks in the game besides maybe Paladin or Monk.

this game is still far talking about hp differences or tank being. any far range attack, huge damage and fast attack (DPS) still mean a lot.
IE a skillful player needs little hp to avoid being attacked by monsters.
if you put it that way, i personally prefer dps because it means a higher chance at world boss cubes.
but then jinfin would be correct in that swordsman would just have to be reliant on archers and wizards to deal with late game mobs while they SB and wait it out.
in icbt2 late game meant world bosses. im not sure how it is now because i hardly see any recent videos on world bosses and tons on people just grinding legwyn all day. or doing other dungeons.
if world bosses dont mean much anymore, then i would have to focus on solo dungeon farming which means a different build.
