But to stay on topic, so far as i can see, going from fireball level 1 to fireball level 15 would mean an absolute increase in the order of 2688% your magic attack (not considering the log part of it for obvious reasons). Total damage dealt would be almost 1.8 times that of a level 1 fireball.
See, now you’ve fixed it by changing the term from skill factor to overall magic attack. You’re right, this is semantics. Have a good night.

1696% is the total damage 16 lvl 1 fireball hits.
3040% should be the total damage of 16 lvl 15 fireball hits.
Are you necessarily willing to give that up since it has two overheat?
What are you giving it up for?
Yes fireball is only increasing about 80% from c1 to C3. That’s not exactly a bad thing.
The real question.
Will you get better DPS with lvl 1 fireball and investment elsewhere?
Greater flexibility?
Greater Burst?
The point of leaving skills at level 1 is because you’re going to get more out of those points elsewhere.
Saying you only get 80% scaling doesn’t mean that it’s worth giving up if Fireball is still the main move.
The bare minimum is to give rainproofng

How about when the calculation equates to zero or just a few ticks because a swordsman/cleric pushes your balls away?

One hit fireball with high damage is probably a shitload better than current fireballs where you’re lucky to get 3-4 hits before it gets hit into a corner. Not to mention PVP.

Played with Fireball.
The Aoe Ratio is too small, In-fact I do not believe it has changed.
The attribute seems to do invisible damage as things have died with no numbers popping up.
On a raw damage for damage.
Lvl 15 Fireball has higher DPS than level 15 Flame Ground (except in AoE, as Fireballs ratio is trash)
Flare has higher than both of them. FG is a reliable way of proccing Flare but doesnt hit fliers…
Basically now the money is in maxing Flare 
Because of Micro Dimension you can get more damage out of Fireball than Flare.
Maybe can be Casted with macro dimension.
