Hi there.
Can someone explain me why there is so many mobs that looks just like lower level ones? Same for bosses. Just different stats. This is looks like unfinished copypaste, lazy work for me. I really would like to say that I’m not complaining but I do. Zero unique mobs. What do you guys think about this? Is this how it supposed to be or this was just a rush out to release game? I played a lot of MMO’s and there were a lot of same mobs too but not as much as in ToS.
I would like to hear your opinion on this. Looks like I’m only the one who bothered by this.
Most games does this. If you have played a lot of RPG games, they recycle mobs to save cost. The more high up the company is, the more variety there is. It is fine for me since the next time you will encounter the same looking mob is way high up. There are some unique mobs you will see past that range also but not as much as in the lower part.

Also, higher level bosses usually have new spells. And their attack rates tend to be higher and cooldowns lower.
It’s good to know certain skills that boss is gonna use, and then it surprises you with new ones.
what do you expect? calling imc lazy when litterally almsot EVERY other mmorpg company does this?
and no, u only see the same monster about once every 30-55 levels.
To be honest only MMOs that did the same is PW and Lineage. I pretty sure that I would remember if there would be any game that copy paste mobs that much. I didn’t want to mention Ragnarok but they did it few times too. But again not that much.
this game has a foundation where mobs are not unique. they are skinned different and named different but the ai is the same. the ai in this game is generic in a sense that it doesnt matter what lvl or difficulty you are at. its going to have the 3-4 same mechanics. its one of the major deterrents of a high population.
you will honestly only get uniqueness out of a handful of games… POE WOW AION WILDSTAR FFXIV. maybe a few others im failing to mention, like Vindictus, RaiderZ, Rift. quite possibly newer games i havent even gave 2 shits about to play… like black desert, bless, ESO, PSO2. whatever else you think deserves to be here. i could give 2 shits less to play any of these lackluster games.
I gave tos a go because of the feels, the graphics, the trailer. it was nothing like what i assumed and believed it could be like.
