All for one, one for all

IN MY OPINION it would’ve been better if they postponed everything and waited to give everyone keys simultaneously ( Because they didn’t have enough keys for everyone who was willing to participate )… Reasons 1) -If anything were to happen, we can’t play until the 27th regardless, so why give out the keys early…

#༼ つ ◕_◕༽つgib keys pls

because they wouldnt have been able to give out 150k keys in one day anyway. So doing it earlier rather than later allows more cushioning for any fall backs and allows them time to solve any problems.

They need that 1 week buffer time for themselves… And also if anything happens (like being out of keys)… Would u rather they give out keys on the 26th and then run into problems only to postpone cbt2 date? I think it’s a good practice to do stuff earlier… Where’s the harm?

I don’t mind the taking days to provide keys. I do in fact mind the not having keys so we’ll just hand them out to certain people with the pick and choose system while 145k others wait.

I really want to play this game, but i don’t want to be selfish.
But yeah, will be unfair if they open the game when some people didn’t get their key yet

IMC basically miscalculated to those who wanna joined the test. The keys were produced by Steam and because of that, along with the huge numbers, Steam only generated less than what is needed for.

Yes, everyone wanted to play, everyone wanna bomb out their pocket on this game but seriously, be patient. It’s not like the end of the world or something. IMC did say sorry didn’t they?

Yeah, i really happy with IMC until this time.
They really did a good job.
Who da hell was thinking we will got like 150k testers?
That was huge tho

I think this time it’s more like a mis-coordination between Steam and IMC.

  1. IMC opens up registration iCBT2 registration, didn’t expect it to reach 170k participants, while Steam had prepared only a few thousand CBT keys.
  2. Seeing the ever-growing number of the iCBT2 participants, IMC tried to contact Steam at the second or third day of the iCBT2 registration, but somehow Steam didn’t respond on it on time, resulting to Steam to send out the prepared keys first as scheduled.
  3. Steam responded to IMC call, but they already sent out the few thousand iCBT2 keys. Steam needs time to send out the rest of the keys, resulting to delayed iCBT codes to the rest of the participants.

Also, even though it’s automated, but it still takes time to coordinate things through, and generate before sending out the keys. Machines are still machines, they still have their own limitation.

Still. They knew about the incident before posting the forum post… they could’ve just kept the keys that they already had, waited for the rest to come in, then ship them ALL out… If some people can play, and not others by the 27th, I’ll sue IMC for negligence :c… I’d rather them keep all the keys rather than giving them to some… or just wait, and give them all out c;

The answer to this is obvious, they have more time to complete the task and extra time as a safety net should anything go wrong with distribution.

I hope you’re not serious…lol… the fact they even announced limitless keys is astounding… you should be happy if even half the people that signed up actually get keys.

I can’t comprehend what you’ve just typed… ;w;

If they give out the keys bit by bit over several days its easier on them and their hardware to complete the task. Plus since they are doing it the week before should any problems arise with the key distribution they have time to fix it before the 27th.

If they were to do a mass key drop right before the beta like your suggesting they might not have enough keys or overload their hardware trying to send out to many emails at once etc. plus then if they have to fix problems people may not get their keys before the 27th

Is that clearer for you?

Potatoes. Popcorn. Peanuts.

They took one week for safety, and they did right.

Where is the problem OP ? How could they guess this 150k and more registers ?

I think this is more of a “BUT I WANT IT NOW!” problem

You can think that. But that isn’t what the problem is. I fully understand that even if I were to get my key- And oh boy, I’ll get my damn key- I would still have to wait until the 27th to play. The problem is---- They should have waited to do a mass key release rather than small burst/wave key release. Like, waiting to the 26th to give keys to all because they know the amount of keys needed to provide… Instead, they anticipated how many there would be, and that was wrong.

i explained to you already why what your saying is wrong but if you refuse to acknowledge it i cant help you.

You can’t help me. And you should understand that my endless rambling on means nothing ONLY because I’m speaking of the past. What cannot be changed. At the end of the day, we have to wait for the remaining keys :I
