Alchemist Help Pls :)

Hi , I want to make a Late game making money Alchemist , but I don’t know what Class and Rank i should take , like a Support Alchemist ( Linker , Chronomancer ) , but it look kinda passive for leveling and hunting items. So I need some advices for me to make a good Alchemist , Grazie

Well if you wanted to do well with Linker, you should get more AoE skills so Pyromancer would be a better pick for damage and you’d still have a bit of CC with Linker. You could even go Pyro Thaumaturge to be a buff master since Pyro has a fire attribute buff for auto attacks.

If you wanted Cryomancer however, you could go Cryo Elementalist for Freezing the enemy before using massive damage AoE.

A weird build focused on Auto Attacks would be Wiz > Pyro > Linker > Thaumaturge > Chronomancer … my only issue with this is how many links can Linker make… if it can’t make a lot at C1, then I dunno what to do with it.

Note: Just add Alchemist to the end of everything there

If you want to go for Item Awakening I don’t think going full support will be good. I don’t know how exactly the skill works or how hard it will be, but I assume that only the alchemist can enter the dungeon. And when you go full support you might have problems killing those monsters. If you won’t want Item Awakening I think going support will be fine.

Also Linker and AoE are two different paths. You don’t need aoe when you have a linker. You link the monsters and attack one of them to kill all. You want aoe when you don’t have a linker.

I think it’s too early to make serious plans with alchemist because we don’t know enough about that class.

Doesn’t make any sense to try to build your characters now before even OBT. The skills are constantly being reworked / tweaked and nothing stays the same. So sit back and wait for OBT.

Item Awakening has 5 levels and putting points into it (after level 1) lets you bring along one more party member. So at max level you can bring a full 5-man party into the dungeon. That’s how it works as of today September 18th 2015 but it could be changed any time. With that in mind, having a support-oriented Alchemist doesn’t seem too far-fecthed. Of course you can always leave the skill at level 1 but from what I understand it’s quite challenging and there’s a time limit.

Oh that’s awesome. Thanks for the info

I’m not saying you’re wrong for a support point of view but if you have a Linker + AoE class, you can do a lot of damage since the AoE gets applied to all the enemies linked AFAIK. So basically it multiplies the damage of the AoE (when you hit multiple enemies) ie. Fire Ball + Joint Penalty hitting 4 mobs means for each Fire Ball hit, you’re hitting each linked enemy 4 times.

Here is some of my first build :

  1. Wiz - Pyr - Linker - Thaumataurge - Chronomancer - Alchemist

  2. Wiz - Cryo - Spy - Element - Chronomancer - Alchemist

  3. Wiz - Cryo - Cryo - Cryo - Chronomancer - Alchemist
