Yes. The only difference between awakening gears is that the more stars (and rarity?) the gear has, the more calcite it uses and the longer the awakening session is.
And there are attributes to lower the mob counts and such. So make sure you get those.
What they said… also be careful because the mobs will scale to the level of the item (you’ll start seeing some Lv300+ mobs spawn if you’re doing a Lv315+ item for example). Not fun if you’re in the 17X+ level range.
Post-patch, it’s best to get someone to help you, just in case.
Your death = failed attempt = (-1 pot) = no awake.
