After Highlander c3 help

My current build is swordy c1 -> highlander c3 , str/dex hybrid
Damage so far is kinda crazy as it is with carter at lv15 and bleed effects boosting skyliner.

I just got a class advancement now i was wondering what would be better, Going another rank into swordy c2 for stun and more passive buff? or go barbarian c1? for cleave and 2 other skills? because i wanted to go into dopple c2. Or would barb c2-c3 be my best bet?

My main issue im having is maximizing the highlander since i invested going into c3 with it. My job 5 feels limited if i go doppel that becomes available at job 6.

I need advice please.

Swordsman 2 is terrible.
Barbarian 2, 3 or nothing.
Go for Peltasta or Corsair 1 - Peltasta is better, imho.

As said above, NEVER up swordsman C2 «for buffs», and especialy NOT for a rank 5 choice.
Barbarian 1 wont give you more tools because it is only flat damages skills and you need more ranks into it (and to pick it earlier) to have a minimum of utility.
Your best choice would be Peltasta 1 for the taunt, and the increased defense this class will give you and could be usefull in some situations.
Second choice, if you prefer PvP, would be Corsair C1 for Iron Hook.

I am lvl 133 now and took Swordman c1 - Highlander c3 - Peltasta c1.

In Dungeons and Missions i ended up as tank alot of times and having Peltasta c1 there is really awesome. You can’t compare that with the Crossguard from Highlander.
Before i got Peltasta, i had to tank with 2hand sword and believe me, you get so much more damage.
The passive buffs you get from Peltasta are awesome for tanking, i also have the same stats like you.

If you plan on doing alot of dungeons and missions you will have to tank and then peltasta saves your live and that of your party.
I was also wondering what to take at rank 5 and was wondering if corsair c1 or barb c1 is any good but barb c1 seems useless for the build and corsair is only good for PvP.
For a PvP char i would take corsair but i want to do both, PvE and PvP and then i think peltasta was the right choice.
The only good thing you get from corsair for PvE is jolly roger and i don’t think its worth it.

But if you don’t want to tank even if you are the only swordsman or don’t plan on doing group content i think corsair is a better choice.
Barb seems only good if you go c2 or c3 and for your build Doppel c1 would be a better choice.

Alot of people also say that the aoe taunt from peltasta c1 is good for farming.
I didnt have the need to use it yet but i can imagine that it makes farming much faster if used right.

Hmm… I really prefer Corsair instead of Peltasta.

Nowadays every Swordsman have at least one Peltasta circle.
I can’t see advantage to have two in the same party and Jolly Roger is the differential for those who are pure DPS. There’s no problem if your team has two flags on the ground at the same time.

I (me, myself) prefer to leave the tanker role for those who really are tankers. That’s my logic, but I would be Peltasta had I chosen Barbarian and agree that defense attribute is great.

We can see a combo of 14 kills in a row. It means 14x5% = +70% of damage. I’ve tested it and it’s really +5% per stack. Playing solo my record was 8 stacks.

Your choice is based on what you want to do for your party (besides killing mobs): tank the whole dungeon or give silver and damage for your mates.

In addition to pelt or corsair you can also grab squire as a filler class. Arrest is a pretty good CC for partying. You can also actually get some use out of the other skills as opposed to pelt and corsair where the other skills besides jolly/swash are pretty much irrelevant to you.

It’s up to you though. R5 for High3 is pretty much a filler rank so take whatever utility you’d like the most.

That’s true and I agree with you. It depends on your style. Not what is most popular now.
