So basicly stand in the location and hold “Z”. I mean really, free stuff. But obviously you need to be a high enough level to make it to this map and safely afk. Melee classes won’t work either.
While of course I’m against z botting, you can find many maps and just wait for it to respawn. Takes all of 10 seconds.
Honestly though from just questing and grinding at level 227, I have 201, not accounting the ones used for the event. No need for this method anyway.
I don’t personally think holding 1 button down with an external object counts as botting but, if you plan on just getting the crystals out of the way asap without worrying about running out later on this works very well. Plus since I don’t play a swordsman I tend to ignore the tree roots and don’t get many. Up to personal preference I guess.
Playing mage or archer, you end up auto targeting them as well. I imagine melee classes would have to go out of their way more. I’ve a few Fencers under my belt, and most of the time it’s more distracting than anything to go grab a tree root crystal.
Admittedly I don’t care to do this event on characters I’m not leveling currently, so for maxed chars who want to do it, they should be the only ones standing around clicking z.
