I know the difference hence why i listed them both separately and not just as afk farming as a whole. That should have been obvious. But it still comes down to there are players who will report you for it and you will amass reports and likely be banned eventually.
no but we have staff replies in some of those threads about un banning those players, are you implying the staff are un banning botters who say they afk farmed on the forums?

If alot of people does this it violates the tos by disrupting other peoples gameplay. Not sure why they tell people its ok. Imagine trying to go farm something and there is a bunch of people afk all around farming with their pet. IMC disappoints me with this statement.
Also to me it is considered an unfair method, which also violates tos.

yea their reports count for less but not nothing. and if you receive enough reports to get banned regardless if you were botting or not their value increases.
Sooo you have no counter argument or thing that disproves what i have said or what staff have said in various āim bannedā threads.

Here is something i wrote a while ago on how i feel about afk farming. Dont know why you have to be a ā ā ā ā when im just stating my opinion on the matter.
Same reason it isnt right to z bot. Anyone can put a heavy object on their z key and kill stuff while afk. You can also get a bot and kill stuff while afk. Or be a summoner and have the summons kill stuff while afk.
The main thing is that you are gaining something while not actually playing the game. This also affects people around you depending on how you do it.
The only difference between botting and these other things is the degree at which you gain while at the same time affecting the game and people around you.
Not saying you will get banned if you do this way out where noone sees you or cares. you probably wont. But do this in a common area with a high level summon or something and you will likely get reported.
Also, about the anyone can do it comment, think of it this way. Anyone can litter so they dont have to walk all the way to the trash can to save time. What does 1 soda can matter right? Well if everyone thinks this way and does this, what would the world look like? Same with this. Sure, a few people doing this might not be a big deal, but if they just allow everyone to do it, imagine in every zone on every channel there being some afkers letting their pets do all the killing?
A similar thing happened when people thought it was ok to z bot. Everywhere you go there was some z botters which affected actual players. Rolal mausoleum stoageā¦ there was at least 10 z botters there every day for example.
So, even if it does turn out imc doesnt care, i really wish people wouldnt just go around telling people its an ok thing to do. It seems they dont really care about this game or the people who play it.
I guess I understand why IMC thinks itās okay. Pets can only go bit further than their master, it wont clean up the whole area by it self and those who grind around it can do much better and almost unaffected by this behavior. And it wont be long until it exhausted and get stunned in higher level
Thats how it worked till recently: system took RII of reporting player as one of a criteria of determining if reported player is a bot. And if RII was high enough then it was possible to ban innocent players by reporting them as bots (and get your RII increased even further).

of last sentence in my post.
Which means players can still be considered bots depending on each staff members opinion. Also the Banned news posts are called āBanned for Abuseā not stictly banned for botting.
