AFK mode for melee classes

You know archers and mages can AFK grind by dropping any small heavy item on Z button. Perhaps melee classes as a party can do it aswell against melee agressive mobs.

Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you the

#Orb(is) Formation

1.stay in heavy spawn area

2.agressive melee mobs will attack the formation. With every member facing a general direction an enemy will be obliterated.

3.???

4.profit?

*theory since can’t test game is down.

Mob spawn way too spread out for this to ever make sense with 5 people, but, haha.

Let swordsmen throw their weapons. Problem Solved.

I’m annoyed at the fact that I didn’t think of this.

The same way the useless archers and mages do. Put a coin in the Z button and it will attack all day. Since Mages and Archers are range classes they can go afk and do this, but melee classes can’t.

dash, is dat you (?)

What up! Itz Dashie! and we up in here playin’ some Tree of Savior-ah! Shiet-ah!

How about we remove AFK mode all together?

Whats the point of AFKing a game? If a Grind Game is not your cup of tea then there are plenty others out there with fast character progression.

Grinding has always been a big thumbprint for their gamestyle.

@Klareh
Well, the problem is: how? Though I agree.

Some games like to pop out little tests now and then to check to see if the player is actually there.

Since for this game (I have not had a chance to play this beta yet) seem to be standing in place and just weighing down a button.

Perhaps:
A player is active with skills but static/immobile, spawn a monster that requires movement or you die. EX: Stacking DoT that is only removed by moving.

Other games like to prevent profession farming bots by spawning a type of monster that prevents farming until killed.

In WAKFU, when you farm, you get sucked into a fight where you have to “stomp” out the matching hard to see runes in order to “beat” the boss. Choose the wrong rune to stomp out and you get a heavy debuff to material farming. Defeating the special boss removes the debuff. (He shows up faster when the debuff is on).

Again, I haven’t seen it in game because I have yet to participate, but these are just ideas to hopefully help.

Most simple solution would be to just add a duration to it. Say, one minute?

There’s a useful solution, used in Maple Story, after a couple of mins or attacks, if the button is still pressed, it will remove it and the char will be static, not able to attack, this will eliminate all people who afk…but that won’t stop bots
