Adventure Journal for the FAMILY instead individual characters

Why is the Adventure Journal a feature for individual characters?

I’m gonna try to elaborate on topics why I think the Adventure Journal should be shared across your FAMILY instead individual characters, I think it’ll be easier to read and understand, please upvote, share, comment, do whatever, if you agree with this, the only thing I wish is to let IMC see this and maybe even consider it, because the Adventure Journal is one THE BEST THINGS IN THE GAME and it feels underrated.

  1. In-game features that promotes your entire family are always a good thing, for example: Team EXP and Collections, which are both incredible stuff to have.

  2. Being a completionist in Tree of Savior is very fun and I feel like it’s one of the main reasons that makes the game unique. It makes your grind feel more rewarded, and even a nice way for accounting.

  3. It can show the individual performace of your specific characters, for example: showing how many Kepas your Cleric has killed along with all the Kepas that all characters have killed. The overall scoreboard from drops should definitely NOT be individual.

  4. Wings of Vibora should stay for individual characters, because it’s a nice way to reward you with extra cards when you kill a certain amount of individual monsters, but the achievement board should still be shown to all characters in your FAMILY.

  5. Why is there a few monsters without the achievement? It feels really odd. I think Bosses should also give an achievement too. Quest Bosses should give an achievement immediately, and World Bosses could give an achievement after you kill each of them 3 times or so.

  6. There are “trap drops” in the game, which means, some Quest Bosses will drop an UNTRADABLE item that is part of your Adventure Journal score, which means if you sell/scrap them you’d need to make a whole new character just to persuade your goal to make a “perfect” journal. This also means you need to enchant that item up to +10 in order to get 100% score, if you lose all potentials you’re forced to use your Golden Anvils to make sure you never break that item because you have only 1 way exclusively to obtain it. I don’t really have to say that this is really frustrating, do I? Some little mistakes like that is really, really, really punishing for no reason.

  7. Let’s say you have a very support oriented Cleric, how is this character gonna have a fair Adventure Journal’s score compared to the other classes, you could have your awesome Cleric without the frustration and never worry about your journal’s completition because your other characters are gonna be there for him.

  8. There is a server ranking for the Adventure Journal, a somewhat interesting feature, but if one person really focused to pump one specific characters, other people that are spending the exact same hours of gameplay/grind will never be able to compete, their time is going to waste. It should be about a FAMILY WARS, not individuals.

  9. Weird way to “compare” but once there was game called “Grand Chase”, it was a fighting/MMO game, you could have around 15 characters sharing your name (which is your FAMILY’s name in Tree of Savior), each individual character had their own record, equipment, level, and stuff, but you also had a lot of features that promotes and encourages your FAMILY as a whole (your effort as a player), because it’s all about YOU (the player). YOU (the family). Your individual characters is just how you wanna diversify your playstyle, that way you have more fun with Tree of Savior as a whole instead of Tree of Savior as individual characters.

  10. It’s very clear that Tree of Savior is a game where classes have a ton of variety, which means, most likely if you enjoy the game you wanna make a bunch of characters and try new stuff, or even having a bunch of characters for the sake of having them. This is a huge reason why a FAMILY’s Adventure Journal is a much better design than an individual Adventure Journal. Because the game naturally makes you wanna make more “simblings” to your family, you can’t just get stuck with one, you wanna love all at once, and you wanna feel your effort being shared across them all.

  11. Some restrictions makes a lot of sense for balance measures, otherwise it’d make the diversity a lot less interesting, but for Adventure Journal scoreboard I can’t see how this is unbalanced thing, specially when no one else can you see your Journal (which honestly they could in my opinion).

I think I have made enough points already on why Adventure Journal should be a FAMILY thing and not a character thing. I could make many other points but I think it’d be a lot of stuff to read (if it isn’t already) but I think I was able to elaborate it clearly my personal view, and I have the strong feeling that I can’t be the only one and I hope IMC at least can acknowledge this, maybe let their headquarters be aware. I hope for a bright future in Tree of Savior, that’s why I’m attempting to have my voice heard. If I’ve made any mistake please feel free to address it.

:smile_cat: I wish you all a happy grinding :smile_cat:
