Advancement quests, class reset discussions

Im going to address an issue I saw before and it was about advancement quests!

So you go in a game and you decide to pick swordsman, you choose peltasta for your class advancement by accident when rushing with excitement and you shrug it off. You click on advancement and click on highlander but to no avail.

Why does this happen? IMC wont allow us to repick our choice thats why there is a warning sign saying PICK CAREFULLY or something like that but why does this exist? Just let us abandon the quest if we want to change last second its not something super game changing.

PS: If you want money just put class reset vouchers in tp stores.

This is just my opinion, if there are any issues with my argument tell me!

Now this is nothing for a rank 2 - 4 but if you just hit rank 8 and mess up by accident, bam new character…

Never had such problem. I always check what I pick at least three times: In class options, class description and confirmation dialog.

There isn’t such a thing as by accident. The position and placement of the class selection button, confirmation button and 2nd confirmation button ensures that the player makes the choice intentionally.

The player’s regret after the choice is made is a totally different matter altogether.

This could really only happen the first time you hit rank 2 on your first character ever. After you’ve experienced how ranking up works, it’s likely you won’t make that mistake again, especially when you realize that you can’t reset your classes.

Plus you hit rank 2 around level 14/15, that’s 20 mins top for even a brand new player. Just remake that character.

In my nearly 3000 hours of playing and making alts, I have not once made an accidental class selection.

Even when it was my first ever character to hit its first ever second class choice. There’s too many prompts and you’re just not paying enough attention (granted you claim that your are excited, but still). This isn’t an EULA from any program ever that you’re trying to install.

I think at one point IMC did consider coding something that will allow us to do this, but then they decided: “F*ck it!” and made Class Reset Voucher instead.

Sidenote: This excludes people (myself and others) that have benefited from the Class Reset Voucher because we wanted to change things up with one of our characters.

It was free and heck, why not?
