Uhm, I just reached Rank 4 and I clicked on Hoplite C2 and I spoke to the trainer but… now… I changed my mind and want to go Cataphract, is there a way to switch over to Cataphract even though I have not completed the official quest for Hoplite C2?

Of course, you can pick up cataphract after Hoplite C2 anyways, just make sure to stick to Spear lunge and the rest of the old skills so you can use them all while mounted.
try talking with the Cataphract master and see…
if you have gone too far into it you might be doom to play that class…
that will teach you to not second guess yourself and be more prepare in the future 
just to make sure you don’t feel so bad about “messing up” circle2 hoplite is great to go straight into cataphract so you made a good choice either way
