I was thinking that maybe a zone or area chat was implemented to make it a little easier to chat in the game in the current map area. as it is when i try to use shout it its all being spammed by nonsense about speaking only english in this game. when i try to ask something its just overshadowed by all the spam chat and i cant get any replies nor do i think anyone can even see my chat post.

I agree. Shout should also not have a ticker
A chat for only the area/map you’re in would be awesome.
It would make finding parties for bosses or other things a lot easier! 
Only thing that bugs me about the chat so far is how the chat history gets wiped clean every time you change maps :<
Imo area chat shouldnt require an item and yell chat should still require a megaphone which should be a cash item.
