Actual GvG system

Hey guys, discuss topic, huehue knights allowed,

Brief intro: I’ve lost most of ToS interestest, gacha system, forced to party in order to keep questing and stuff.
I’ve always complaint about Cleric superiority in TBL, the team which has more cleric chars wins, kinda unbalanced and also it’s matchmaking sucks.

At this point I’m basically playing TBL if I’m bored enough and GvG (now that every skill isn’t crashing the game), but forget why I stopped playing this game aswell.

So, let’s discuss about it’s actual GvG system, from my experience and point of view; everybody has been complaining about awful optimization which makes people playing GvG with 0.5-2fps, (3 with some luck and a NASA computer). Even if it’s their fault, we can’t ignore that people are way too lammer to abuse of this bad optimization just casting everything in the same spot (even icewalls or sp statues, doesn’t have much impact the way the are placed but hey, each state or icewall block is -2fps).

We can’t forget the point that people is way more lammer than that, they aren’t casting this useless stuff in your base/near guild tower, but they are doing it in respawn point.
Yep, there isn’t any safety zone - protection zone, so basically the guild who dies first is the one losing the game, if enemy team is fast enough to cast everything in your respawn point.

What’s your point? Should GvG designer get a raise? Is IMC listening anything posted here? Are they too busy implementing gachas and rubbing their hands? Discuss come on :smiley:

Camping the enemy’s spawnpoint is the worst :confused:

There’s a new GvG coming soon (In kToS of course) that looks to be more focused on getting achievements rather than on the current tower defense style. Looking forward to it.

They should focus on open GvG, with domain of territories. Of course after there is a real optimization in the game engine (not the 7%)

15v15 is a ■■■■ and limits the possible moves of both guilds. I believe that this number should be greater than or equal to the maximum limit of players in the guild, with a possible alliance system.

the actual gvg system is pure sh.it.
it’s, once again, the proof of the lazyness of IMC

  • god awfull overall optimisation, that’s when you do 15v15 (or world boss) that you can really see it, the fps drop to hell ! and it’s unplayable

  • ranking system tought by a toddler … with mental issues. at this point it pays more to tag once a week and win (or lose) one match with 2 pple then stop playing gvg, and you STILL manage to be higher ranked than the guilds that actually tries every day with full team

  • no safe zone at respawn … what-the-fu.ck ? you get spawn killed and must pray that the guild in front will play fair (oh, a tip : they don’t !). But it seems like an invisible wall is WAY too complicated for imc and their awfull dev team

  • Always bugged ! since day 1, there is aaaalways a thing broken … skill that doesn’t go, stuck by kino, stuck at the beginning area (gvg doesnt launch at the end of the countdown and some pple are just incapable of moving/skill/attack), 1st match doesnt count in ranking, ranking doesnt show, ranking with 1 day of delay (wtf ?), crash with icewall/EB … etc

amen to that, we should be able to chose who we want to fight !! take the WoE in RO for exempl : if a guild was too strong for you, you had the choice to go elsewhere and pick a fight with someone else.

the strong guild had its reward by keeping the castle, and the 1-man-guild (except in some very very rare case) didn’t get anything…

battle are so much fun when the fight are fair

once again we have empty promises of a “massiv pvp” (they can’t handle more than 20ppl on the same map, i can’t wait to see what they have in mind)

i’m realy losing hope for this game, every day more pple i know are getting sick of it and leave … all because of imc … that’s the worst

In any case, GvG and even TBL can’t be at their fullest potential because the base game needs a facelift. Which is weird because the base game is incredibly enjoyable. Say if the game lives on and they actually do remodel the game to the point where people can reliably use their potatos in happiness and those with powerful computers can show their e-peen; they both could turn into fun, chaotic modes. They kind of are already in a way.

More modes that aren’t a TDM could greater influence people who play or even how many people jump into it. Honestly I don’t think TDM should decide ranking, but I wouldn’t like WoE either. Maybe a system in how WoE worked where lower guilds don’t have to feel terrible skipping sessions because a top guild, but a leniency thing where they have X times to skip the battle before they absolutely have to fight; that way picking on lower guilds would essentially slow you down versus fighting guilds who actually want to fight- Which would also trivialize Neutrality into something healthier. Or something that makes higher peeps fight higher peeps for greater reward.

tl;dr

Probably will get better with time, but there’s so many critical stuff they’re only fixing up now, so it’s probably at the back end of it all. And time is of the essence.

You know what guys? Let’s spend our monthly earned money in gachas, with some luck we can get more optimization or someone working a bit int IMC’s offices lmao.

Jokes aside, Hellyers sums ups pretty much how bad is the whole system, I still want to make special emphasis on how lammer is people, but these people is the same who were losing TBL 2 weeks ago and using flare just to crash the game so they didn’t lose points. Happy to see them in the bottom of rankings doing ■■■■.
Unhappy to know that these game crashes were solved (even if it lasted for a couple of week) and GvG won’t be solved, either optimization.

So yea, wanna get free tp? reroll some clerics which are both, strong and tough, something which can spam ■■■■ to low down FPS (wiz with icewall, necro stuff, of course the most dievs statues are, the most lower fps…) and that’s enjoy, Just having some summons will make the deal, there isn’t need to autoattack.

Core gameplay is restricted by the awful engine and can only be improved after REAL optimization is done. Want bigger parties, bigger raids, full scale open world War of Emperium? Want to make use of all the class diversity instead of stupid 5 man parties limiting the use of unique off-meta builds?

fix the ■■■■■■■ engine first, you can’t call TOS a MMO if it outputs 2 fps with 35 players on screen

Bring back my 60 fps

You should consider that this game is about Random.

They didn’t added or make bad any premade features, so game at least look different from others.
It’s designed that players can finish the dungeon with random mix of classes, or can win GvG with strange set of chars(before r8 stupid rebalance).

Current overall rules is bad for us bcos we are the smallest server. And dont have enough community.
Also IMC tried to keep balanse between Balance and Uniqueness :slight_smile: but look like they fall into a 2nd :smiley:
